The only mission i always reject is worlds collide. The only reason i reject it is because the spawns after the first accel gate lag me out so bad. I havent tried it since the agents were moved( havent got it since then) but before i was running out of aramachi and the lag in aramachi/salia/motsu was horrible. I quit doing it when i lost a raven( or was it a heavily tanked drake) And ccp wouldnt reinbust me despite them saying our logs show you tried to warp out several times and you should of been able too but theirs no problem on our end! apparently lag was a mission feature at the time.

Now i dont do any missions which have a large spawn on screen at once unless the spawns are really spread out (50-100km). I dont do mining missions though i do mine combat missions some. and i almost never do courier unless they are storylines( i get a storyline from spacelane quite a bit thats a 5 jump or so courier. i run it on autopilot in a frig . it pays 15 mil and takes less than 30 min round trip on AP. could do it in 15 min actively)

Some changes i would like to see:
-level 5s being viable missions instead of novelty missions. Most have no bounties are against empire factions and have an insane use of nuets all which = epicfail for popularity
- Bonus faction loot/ship in mission kind of like in GE.Have a bonus room in which the spawn is competely random( you might get 3 BS 3 BC and 2 elite frigs or you might get 8 BS and 2 frigs , etc) and their is a small chance that a faction ship ( or structure?) will spawn in the bonus room like domi or dread guristas then use the same basic system that used for 0.0 faction spawns for loot drop. maybe even have a extremely rare officer or sleeper spawn IDK. It would make them alot more interesting though
- make mission rats more varible. for instance instead of having set rats with set bounties for set missions. make it a random varible like the bonus room. So you may do the first room of GE this time and have 4 high paying BS and 1 t2 cruiser and next time you may have 6 low paying BS and 4 t1 frigs. this time you may have heavy dps ships and next time it may be heavy jammer BSes and lighter dps... etc. Missions now are like factory jobs once you learn it you can do it in your sleep right down to the loot drops.EDIT TO ADD: you could even make the amount of spawns varible, though i wouldnt make the spawn trigger varible that would make it to hard + laggy. varying the spawns would make it hard enough.

- i would like something done with faction standings for doing missions. to use the miners crying method.. they can mine anywhere as long as they want. if we mission somewhere to long we ca no longer go to other sections of high sec. It would be nice if faction standings were based on your standings with other factions like this : if you gain .20 standings with caldari state you gain .1 with amarr and lose -.10 with gallente and -.05 with amarr, regardless of if you killed those factions or not. as it is now i had 2.50 effective standings with caldari which took a while to get and so i didnt end up getting attacked by gallente i did missions first with minny( cause gallente wouldnt let me even with diplo 3) then with gallente . a total of 3 story lines with minny( all level 1 crap ones) and 1 storyline with gallente( against serpantis) killed my standings with caldari almost twice as much as it improved my standings with gallente. So you have to spend alot of time running missions for everyone just to keep standings 1/2 way balanced. In this case missions didnt pay crap i spent 3 long days mission grinding for storylines and barely made 3 mil. So missioning doesnt always = best empire isk

Like most people I reject missions in which I'll have to kill ships from other empire factions. I reject any courier mission not in the same system and all mining missions.

I reject Duo of Death, since it hardly pays at all in LP, ISK, or salvage and it's always at least two jumps away. I think they did that so it wasn't over in thirty seconds. I guess there needs to be an easy lvl 4 mission new players can do. Meh.

Missions I love to see: The recon chain (lots of ISK for no time or effort), Angels Extravaganza (random 3% implant - w00t! Just skip the now-worthless bonus room), and Damsel. If you melt loot for minerals Damsel must have the best time/minerals quotient of any mission outside of the drone missions.

I like Buzz Kill, too. For a Minny pilot it doesn't take long at all, but I could see how it wouldn't be worthwhile in a Raven with all those bitty ships. Anyway there are so many wrecks salvage usually comes up pretty good for me.

And World's Collide since it takes way too long and the NPC AI is borked. It's like I'm fighting fifty mentally challenged chimps that are all trying to hump the same doorknob.

I avoid any mining and gas cloud missions. The gas cloud mission I was offered a few weeks ago would have cost me 25 million for the skill book to do it. Thats value for time and money.

Unfortunately in my rush to get standings high, I didnt turn down faction missions and am now on the cusp of having half of highsec cut off from me. oopsie!

Oh also missions that have 4+ parts to it can really do without the annoying 5 jump courier bit to deliver a data chip!

I think the starter lvl1's that send folks into lowsec are either a big mistake or a great wakeup call. I remember over 3 years ago when I was about 2 weeks old getting a courier (maybe my third ever mission) that sent me to Egghelende (can never get the exact spelling). Before I knew it four pirate BS's had me locked and pounded and podded my Immicus with DPS in the high thousands.

I didnt do anymore missions for maybe 18 months after that. A perverse intro the the harsh realities of Eve. Shocked

I did start to learn the game a bit harder after that, but I can imagine a lot would just stop. By all means do this when folks have a bit more invested in the game maybe?

I've noticed several of the anti-Gallente missions I did for Amarr didn't actually hurt my Gallente standings. Smile
I generally turn down anti-faction missions when possible, but I'll do them if it's all I got.

Rejecting faction hit missions makes a lot of sense.

Joint Harvesting, an Amarr NPC corp, has almost all its Level 3,mid-quality (-15 to +15) agents located in either lo-sec space or deep inside Minmatar regions. Huh!!?!

Then the *!%*#@ agents give you Minmatar faction-loss missions! My question to CCP is: WTF are these huge Amarr corps doing in the bowels of Minmatar space?? With half the missions sending me into lo-sec?! Having them in distant Amarr or Caldari space makes sense, but Molden Heath???

Having to move my mission road show 23 jumps(times whatever # of mission and support ships) one way just to get a Level 3 Quality 0 agent is just plain poor planning and defies even Eve reality.

So I go back and grind missions with the L3,-18 agent and stfu, I guess.

1) Any mission that doesn't give bounties for the most part (I tend to skip looting/salvaging).

2) Enemies Abound.

3) Any missions that neut (active tanking)

4) Anything that is more than 2 jumps out.

5) Drone missions (See 1)

6) Sometimes skip missions with heavy Mercenary presence (I don't loot and the bounties are generally crap).

7) Any mission where I'm not shooting something.

Enemies Abound part 5. I will do the other 4 but the 5th is just too hard for me to solo. And Stop the Thief. I hate to get warp scrammed when I know I'm in the kill zone. And I wish it made a difference with Anti-Empire but it doesn't seeing as I'm a Caldari Militia Man. I get shot in Gallente high sec anyway. And also any mission that sends me into low sec accept for level 5 missions but I only do those while in fleet with my corp.

kushkan: Recon 2/3 is really simple. Grab a shuttle, fly to the locked gate until the mercs spawn, wait a second or few until journal flashes that mission is completed and warp out. Usually you get out before shields are down. If not, a shuttle doesn't cost much.

As for me, I decline missions involving empire factions, mining and/or lowsec. In addition there's a few specific ones:

Buzz Kill: .. ~80 frigates, ~40 cruisers and a few bigger ships? Apt name for the mission.
Worlds Collide: 2nd room lags me out too much and I don't like losing ships.
Massive Attack lvl 4 serps: I just CBA with a lvl 4 that offers little in bounties (too few BS) and has several rooms where the next gate is 70km off.

I almost always reject couriers that have me do 10-12 jump round trips in an indy (shuttle ones are okay) but depends on my mood.

Many of you reject all drone missions, but how about Attack of the Drones? It has 10-12 drone BSes and doesn't take long to do (as long as you don't spawn too many waves at once) and the drone alloys refine into minerals worth around 12-15M.

I don't reject empire faction missions simply because I need the dog tags for the LP store. I love navy gear, therefore I love Enemies Abound.

I reject missions that have a bad time/reward ratio. I see a lot of people talking about "The Assault" and it can be irritating, but now that I've gotten used to the mission, I make sure to pop the jammers the moment I pull agro on a group and it's not too bad.

I prefer to blitz as many missions as possible, hence I love guristas extravaganza and worlds collide. I hate and love recon. By that I mean, I love the first mission and hate the following two low reward follow-ups.

Silence the Informant is a fairly annoying mission. I wish the last guy you face was at least SOMEWHAT challenging... as in they did a lot more damage, but didn't have an insane tank.

The mission i hate the most is "Vengeance", simply because of Rachen Mysuna. I hate having to warp out then warp back just for a single spawn. I've never had to refit to torps or an AB to kill him, but I have to warp out then warp back and approach without firing until he locks me... if I don't do that then the defender missiles prevent me from breaking his tank. When you're using CNR gear and have lvl 4/5 skills in missiles and you can't break a tank using the ammo they're weak to... it's extremely frustrating.

Courier Missions

They need to be more inline compared to combat missions in terms of time consuming.

As for the anti-faction missions, you guys are missing out one of the best missions out there: Enemies abound. Pays extremly well and is at least a bit more challenging than the rest.

I reject (when I can) any mission that has a poor LP reward, I've got pretty good social skills, and on a L4 missions in empire I can get 7k+ LP's per mission, yet I get offered missions around 3k from a L4Q18 agent :(

More variety please, I look at eve-survival and have never done a lot of the missions as I run for Caldari and occasionally Amarr agents.

The standings losers don't bother me much since I'm in the militia and KOS in Gallente space anyway. I don't like losing the Minmatar standings though.

I always reject low sec missions. Just not worth the risk of getting ganked by some bored pirate, IMO.

I am a trader, the standings loss for missions! it takes so long to get one faction up... and such a short time to drop it for another, pretty soon im not going to be able to reach my manufacturing base in anything bigger then a pod. The rest of the corp is ok, but me...

Just repeat this one more time for the record. There is no where near enough return to justify the standings hit.

I normally turn down Recon Part 3. Can't be bothered to slow boat through it. The first two parts I will normally kill everything even though it is not required.

Otherwise, I found it funny to see many of my favorite (most profitable) missions listed here as ones people avoid.

I always reject any race faction kill missions and all storylines. Spent alot of time getting my standings where they are, so really dont want to mess them up.

Possibly a option to auto reject any storylines and a option to turn off race faction kills?

Any mission sending me to a lo-sec ambush by "pirates" who want to pad their killboard stats with yet another 5v1 kill and then give each other a "GF" when it was really a slaughter.
