@Akita: would you like me to make an EveMetrics version?
I was also planning on releasing a v1.08 which would combine my 1.06.2 with the 1.07 version.

@Royalist14: I wrote the 1.06.2 version on a Vista 32-bit Windos using Excel 2007 and never experienced it. Sure you got the Real McCoy and not an excel-viewer or something? Also, to help you further to identify the issue, have a look at this: VBA tip, maybe it helps...

Well, I don't know for sure how the VB script works (I didn't even bother looking at it too much to be honest), but I assume all it does is pull a certain specific XML structure for some of the chosen item IDs (while cycling through all IDs from top to bottom, apparently 20 at a time), puts all data it receives in the proper place in the "evecentral" sheet, from which the price sheet makes its selection as to what price to use.
I think it might suffice to be a bit familiar with the location of the data you desire is being served from on eve-metrics as opposed to eve-central and make the necessary link format changes, since I assume the query format and response given is identical. If it's not... uhh... then it gets a bit more complicated, since you'd also have to figure out which column of the data is what, or what the other format is.
I'm not all that familiar with the details and have no desire to get too familiar with them any time soon... but somebody else might.

If you like, I can probably make a version that gets its data from eve-metrics. But it is up to you, Akita, to decide whether that data serves your purpose... If so, drop me an in-game mail and I'll develop it...

The sad part here being eve-metrics is being shut down...

I just have to say....WOW

I mean, the spreadsheet tools I could care less about (no offense), but the raw data worksheet.....man you have no idea how much time you saved me, plus you were including fields I stupidly hadn't even considered (like damage per job). I've been trying to MANUALLY fill this out because every other BP spreadsheet I have seen doesn't have them sorted in a crosstab like this (I think this is a crosstab, can't remember).

For the sake of EvE Search, anyone interested in building a blueprint database in Access should definitely consider looking at your raw data page.

Seriously. +30 rabbits for you.

PS: Out of curiousity how did you pull this? API calls?

Edit: Herk a derp, ignore last edit, you are using the raw numbers without the wastage factor in. How are you accounting for the rare off 10% wastage item?

Funny enough, I was using an existing Access database (EVE-HQ's) to export stuff in Excel format.
It was much easier than trying to use the raw datadump, at least for me it was.

This version of the sheet cuts a few corners by assuming ALL required materials are affected by waste (so, no discrimination for "extra" materials which are not affected by waste) and also by assuming that all blueprints are of the "10% waste at ME:0" type (even if very few items have a different ME:0 waste).

Akita, are you planning on releasing a new version of your sheet? There is some new stuff to build out there (Noctis springs to mind....)

I really should, but I just haven't gotten around to it, always busy with something else.
There are quite a few "fine-tuning" things that need doing (not affecting the majority of people using the spreadsheet at all and for the last few it's only mildly inaccurate) which would need quite a disproportionate amount of work to get perfectly right, time which I simply could not manage to set aside so far.

I suppose I could kludge in just the needed data for the new items on the original version of the spreadsheet... but then again, so could just about anybody else, it's quite easy.

You need a new enough Office version and one of the macro-modified spreadsheets, you need to allow macros first, then you need to activate the macro from the start macro button on the prices page to let it gather the data slowly.

I would like to offer you an incentive (bribe) of 200 million isk to perform whatever updating you feel would bring it current to your satisfaction. I only ask that you add fighter-bombers to the data.
