Hello I'm an experienced level 4 mission runner in my Megathron, no problems there. But I recently found the joy of a Myrmidon and find its able to tank most of the level 4s with ease, dps is a bit lacking i admit but I hope that to improve once I get some half decent drone skills. But then again, since we are talking about drone boats, what about the dominix? isk isn't really an issue so inb4 the whole fly what you can afford  . So in the TLDR version, is the improvement in tank/spank worth me upgrading to a dominix from a myrmidon? |

Hello
I went the road from Myrmidon to Dominix, and cant say i regret it. It can tank way more, and with proper electronicskills / mechanicskills you wont encounter any problems with the capacitor.
I dont do lvl4 missions anymore as Gallente, but I remember it was damn fun, aggroing an entire pocket (not on every mission, though!), and watch the drones chew through battleship after battleship.
With 2 LARsII, 4 hardeners and a load of caprechargers you will very rarely have to warp out, which could happen piloting a Myrmidon. |

I'm also facing this thought, however according to EFT a megathron seem to put out alot more DPS and have around the same tank as the domi.
I would say run them through EFT and see what sort of numbers you get with your skills. |

For lvl 4 missions Domi + Shield Tank + 425mm's + t2 sentries = Absolute Win
Sadly myrm is outdone by domi in every aspect. Fit 2 nanofibers to domi and you'll end up with the same agiltiy + same mwd speed + Insane power difference.
The only thing a myrm can do better than a domi is passive shield tanking (and even that not by much). |

Sure the megathron does more dps - but either you have a lousy range with blasters or lousy tracking with rails. Apart from that you will spend a lot of time chasing targets - not fun in an AB battleship. |

Depends on what fitting you're using. Domi with sentrys, rails and shieldtank will do 900 DPS easily... I want to see a Mega doing that while being effective at every range. |

Im kin dof late to this thread but i got two megas,...and i use atties,..1200s to be exact,...Love them for extream long distance. I can ususally pop cruser and above from 70 to 80 K out. The only bad thing are the frigs. When they get on you, you had better have some drone skills to get them,... Ive gone the route with the arties and truthfully i iwont change. I use the 1200 set up for when im in mission that im in support or in a large fleet. now if im solo ill use 650s. They lack the range a bit but im still hitting out at 50k ANd i can hit frigs with them. OH,...word for the wise if your gonna go that way,...use the "scouts" >R< Originally by: H Lecter

It's been a while since I missioned but if I were doing it again I'd go vexor to domi and skip the myrm entirely. |
