I just bought my new toy: Myrmidon
I'm maxed out drone pilot and like to go on roaming gangs and gate camping. Also join big fleet battles but im not sure if this ship is good to join big fleet's.
Anyone who got a setup what works really well plz post here, tx

Not too good for fleets, although bonused light drones can drive tacklers away. |

With maxed out drone skills for fleets you're probably better in a sentry Ishtar or an Eos (running gang links) and ofc if you do have max drone skills you should be asking yourself "why haven't I trained for a carrier yet?"
For roaming gangs I've seen a group of 5 or 6 myrmidons kick a lot of ass, basically a heavy local tank combined with remote repping and armor bots. They can take a fair pounding if setup right. Again 5 or 6 ishtars in a roaming gang would probably be better (Same T2 v T1 argument as always tbh)... |

A fleet-configured Myrmidon is a bold gambit, fraught with peril. However, with rabid determination and a few sets of brown underpants I'm sure you'll find your stride.
For the crushing defeats that are sure to come it never hurts to point the finger of blame at some hapless patsy in your gang, deflecting accusing eyes from your many and varied inadequacies. |

Since lack of bandwidth, I think I would stick to using the Myrmidon in empire. Ishtar is far better for fleets. |

No-one is going to bother shooting you, and there's not much you can do about it if they do, so put a MWD in, then I guess a sensor booster, then a sensor booster, I suppose, 2 drone nav & 1 omni tracking in your mids. High slots... a couple of drone link augs, a couple of remote reps, and maybe a salvager. hey, put a cyno gen on too. If you can cyno, you'll always be some use in a fleet. If you can use a gang link, fit a gang link. Lows: DCU, 2 EANM II, couple of speed mods, one of those sensor strength things. Your function will be to send hilariously fast light drones after interceptors and dictors. Pack warriors and hobgobs, plus a flight of vespa EC-600 in case you get tackled by something heavy. Seriously though, battlecruisers don't really belong in fleet fights. |

For those roaming gangs mobility > tank. So if I were to use a myrm instead of ishtar, I would probably use something like this:
[Myrmidon, Myrm] Magnetic Field Stabilizer II Magnetic Field Stabilizer II Tracking Enhancer II Tracking Enhancer II Damage Control II Inertia Stabilizers II
Omnidirectional Tracking Link I Omnidirectional Tracking Link I Conjunctive Magnetometric ECCM Scanning Array I Sensor Booster II Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive
250mm Railgun II, Spike M 250mm Railgun II, Spike M 250mm Railgun II, Spike M 250mm Railgun II, Spike M Drone Link Augmentor I Drone Link Augmentor I
[empty rig slot] [empty rig slot] [empty rig slot]
Bouncer II x3 Garde II x3
80k+ optimal on rails 40k+ optimal on gardes and 80k+ optimal on bouncers with 95k+ drone control range.
With bouncers and spike: 300+dps With gardes and CNAM: 450+dps
You won't have any tank, stay away and warp out when needed. Assign buttons for scooping drones and ordering them to engage.
For low sec gate camps, I believe brutix would make you happier. |

Ferox is only BC that can do it iirc, otherwise best to leave it to HACs and BS. Edit: Anyway, generic myrmidon setup. Can replace a rep with 800mm plate if gang is getting larger, but plates slow you down. [Myrmidon, General PvP] Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II Damage Control II Armor Explosive Hardener II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Magnetic Field Stabilizer II 10MN MicroWarpdrive II Warp Disruptor II X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator Medium Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 800 Sensor Booster II, Scan Resolution Heavy Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M Heavy Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M Heavy Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M Heavy Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M Heavy Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M Heavy Electron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M Hybrid Burst Aerator I Hybrid Collision Accelerator I [empty rig slot] Hammerhead II x5 and other drones: spares, ecm, lights etc. |

Myrm is best suited for low sec romaing or samll gang roaming imo. Its a nice ships for just that.
A corp mate uses this:
[Myrmidon, Laser PvP] Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II Heat Sink II Damage Control II
ECCM - Magnetometric II Medium Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 800 Fleeting Warp Disruptor I Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I 10MN MicroWarpdrive II
Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch M
Nanobot Accelerator I Auxiliary Nano Pump I Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Ogre II x2 Hammerhead II x2 Hobgoblin II x1 Vespa EC-600 x5 Warrior II x5
His drones may be changed now, its a long time since I got the setup form him ^^. Projectile guns would use less cap as well, but lasers got good stuff for em. Use multifreq when you got the targets close and webbed, or stay at 20km if you want. Dpends. This was made before QR, so might need to revise some aspects of it :P |
