I can't speak for the rest of the community, but I, for one, am past annoyed at the certain station types that don't let us undock completely... here is a typical situation with these oversized stations:

1) Click undock button in one of these bugged station types.. one of the station types is "Minmatar Industrial Station"
2) Watch your ship veer off course and get 'stuck' in the station..
3) Spend the next 60 seconds or so fighting through the station mesh tearing yourself free.
4) Warp away wherever you wanted to go.

This is annoying at best when you are trying to get somewhere quickly (say back to the asteroid belt you are fighting/mining in) and deadly at worse (When you are oh, I dunno.. being attacked by several PK enemies as you exit and try to warp away..)

For Pete's sake, can we finally get this fixed? It's only been broken for what, 6 months now?

I loved one Caldari station where my Mammoth kept jumping left and right for about 5 mins before I got bored and docked again lol

just turn station clipping off like it use to be. I understand that people use to run into stations to hide from damage...though i dont see why that couldn't be turned off too.

That was stations don't cause problems. the "fix" that was put in where the station shoots you out a bit doesn't work, never has. WE all love tha awesome graphics of sttions and the kewl variations that make eve such a joy to watch. but there is no need to constantly get stuck on a station everytime you exit.

plus there is no "work-around" or "fix" that players can do because several station types becuase the exit tubes aren't even large enough for battleships. it just doesn't make sense :)

Amen - and whilst at it fix the session timer. Used to be irritating enough when there was a 10 second delay before one could switch ships, or leave hangar after entering new ship. Now it seems to have gone up to more like 20 seconds.

What gives? Before this was introduced I can't recall one instance of getting 'stuck' whilst switching ships in station. So why the stupid timer?

And if we do have to have a timer, can we *please* have an indicator when it's run out? (Ditto for a "Warping has finished - you may now jump without being stuck in space for 30 seconds waiting for the error flag to clear)

hmmm the only time this used to affect me was in crierlee *spelling * ?. when i used to get stuck un those god awful rotating wheels ...never had a problem anyware else though tbh ...maybe it just me Shocked

Yeah, this is pretty annoying, though it's usually only my haulers that get ping-ponged about. Not got anything bigger yet. ;-)

Good grief yes. Apparently CCP employees dont actually fly industrials of they'd have noticed how bloody pants it is trying to launch from certain stations.

The problem seems to be with speed rather than with specific ship types, of course some ship types are just more prone to having low speeds.

If all station would just throw the ships out at atleast 200m/s the problem would be solved.

yeah, but when u get thrown out of the stations u can end up 10-15km awayNeutral... i have lost count of the times iv undocked to be greeted by a gank fleet with drones out... by the time my screen loads i would have no hope of redocking.

i think this is why u undock so close to the station...

tempests always seem to get stuck on them.

agreed,

on a related note depending on my shiptype, sometimes i choose not to dock in certain models of station because i know i will get stuck in the doorway/exit ramp. been like that almost forever, and i can replicate it if any devs are curious as to what is going on.

some large ship bounding boxes get major collision/friction problems with the doorway in certain station models.

Agreed.
Make the stations bigger too, some are really too small to hold a bs in an hangar. Maybe fixes the annoying undocking and will make the battleships actually fit in the station exit Smile

Ack everything above and can I add that docking is now afflicted with the "you clicked it too soon" bug like jumping is. Oh and can we get rid of the "station shove", please? If you're in a ship that doesn't have MWDs it's a PITA since you can't enter warp for ages.

For me until recently all this has been only an irritation but I must admit that last night I started swearing at it:

I arrived at a station in my 'Geddon and clicked 'dock' too early:Had to wait 20 seconds until I could try again.

Then I had to wait before I could jump into my Bestower. Actually I kept clicking and clicking until it finally switched.

Then I had to wait half a minute before my bestower finally got itself into warp.

At that point I wasn't concentrating or was mad with rage because I got caught out by the jump bug as well!

FFS, I must have ended up waiting two minutes for the client/server to get back in synch. Mad

Yep definately something that needs fixing as soon as possible. Doesn't exactly encourage noobs either, if you're still learning to play, and you have to mess about trying to undock every time, as you warp endlessly to the roid belts and back.

Notice how you sometime appear when undocking actualy flying out of the hangar and sometimes you are already like 5km from the station? Well all ships should always start 5 or more km from the station when undocking. This would solve this problem and give the guys camping the station more time to shoot at the person since a lot of times somebody undocks and just docks back again when he sees the enemy.

Been banging head against the wall that is CCP about this since beta. Several petitions, many totaly unusable stations found, nothing done at all to fix it.

half the stations undocking ports are too small to even fit an indy through never mind a battleship, then theres the stick spots on the way out, complete joke.

its not just mini stations either, conquerable stations are just as bad.

The Dev team is aware of the situation and there is discussion on fixes for this flying back and forth right now. It should be resolved soon. (No on purpose)

It's not much fun when you undock from a station in 0.0 at a True Power Assembly and you're doing 200m/s with the sentry guns eating away at your armour before you've even loaded the screen.

You're lucky if you can get into warp alignment without losing your ship.
