Is the 7-fold price compared to July due to changed loot-tables?
Only in the last month they rose from 50k to 70k and higher, and are only available in VERY limited amounts..

I don't mind if the market dictates the prices, but IMO this is imbalanced.. Shield rigs are in high demand, and there are simply not enough of these available..

Supply and demand. As far as I can tell the volume of ward consoles on the market has not changed in the last year, at least in the forge region. So I don't think CCP decreased their drop rates.

The "VERY limited amounts" problem you're referring to will be fixed once a certain higher price has been reached. At some higher price, less will be bought and more will be available for sale. Free market system to the resecue! \o/

Shield rigs are in high demand right now (for whatever reason) but it's not really CCPs job to ensure that people always get the modules/rigs they want at the price they want. If you want to help make things cheaper, go run missions to increase the supply of ward consoles on the market.ugh

Armor plates are skyrocketing also. Same supply, just more demand for tri-marks, I guess.

The recent increase in Ward Console prices is much faster and greater than the usual fluctuations in the salvage market so I don't think it's just supply and demand. They've gone from a stable price under 20k to over 70k in a very short time. The only comparable change was the huge increase in the price of Alloyed Tritanium Bars when Angels Extravaganza was temporarily removed from the possible missions. Personally I suspect something similar has happened to the sources of Ward Consoles.

I'll add some speculation here...

Facts:
-The date of the speed nerf has been announced
-A large chunk of PvP ships used speed rigs
-To survive longer you now need armor/shield rigs

Speculation
-Most of those players are going to switch to other rigs
-The supply hasn't changed at all, but demand has grown significantly
-Prices should regulate after about 2 months to a price only slightly higher then befre

My guess would be that the market is anticipating the speed nerf. When nanofitting ships becomes less viable as a defense, people will have to fall back on shields and armor again, which means shield and armor rigs.

Also with the raven nerf, you will see less items dumped on market from farmer ravens in hi sec. This means STOCK UP NOW.
