For use with another battleship, random lowsec... (with good scouting of course ;-) )
Lows: 3x 1600mm RT plates 3x Amarr Navy EANM II 1x DCU II 1x Gal Navy Magstab
Meds: Amarr Navy Large Cap Booster 100mn Domination MWD Domination Warp Disruptor Dark Blood Stasis Web (meh, ran out of isk at that point!)
Highs: Whatever heavy blasters.. Neutrons/Ions 1 Solace RR
Rigs: 3x Trimark Is
Drones: Ogres of course
It's clearly geared more towards a buffer tank than damage although I'm still throwing out 928 DPS. 233k EHP (without slaves).
Low sec roaming, being careful. With another BS (that one has 2 heavy neuts on it) and 2 alt-scouts (tho no alt falcons cos that's ghey).
With that in mind.. comments? |

Edited by: phanthom chancer on 25/10/2008 23:30:34IMO, RRs are for ships that don't have a pricetag in the 100s of millions. And do you *really* think if a force engages you and your buddy that the Navy Megathron won't be the primary? Find something better to put in that 8th slot. And you can always swap the DCU 2 for an internal force field to free up some CPU if needed. Oh and then go get a set of slaves so you can afford a second gal navy mag stab. |

Nice fit, though tbh i'd strip out the faction mids and go t2, keep the faction tank though... The question you need to ask is will the 3rd plate give you more HP than you could rep in the time it takes the enemy to chew through the other 2 plates... Given the resists, and the naturally higher hp of the navy mega, i'd say a rep would be a good idea.
For those who think its a bad idea - dropping a navy mega in the thick of things makes it very easy to predict where to put your RR. Theres nothing wrong with being primary all the time if you're expecting it. You have enough of a buffer to soak it up for a good while, and the rest of your RR fleet is gonna be ready to rep you straight away.
I've seen battle reports of 27 kills 0 losses thanks to the navy mega being primaried. Some people just never learn when to switch targets... lol
Of course things can go wrong, but as long as you can hold off long enough for your fleet to destroy 2-3 BS while they chew through your buffer as its being repped, then you'v got your isks worth, AND had the pleasure of being lit up like a firework for 10minutes...
The faction mids won't gain you much in a small fleet/large gang situation, so no sense risking that isk... and i wouldn't risk this without at least 8-10 RR BS next to me, but hey if its for ****s and giggles - HAVE FUN! :D |

Edited by: Strill on 26/10/2008 01:24:25 Questions: Where did you get 233k EHP? I'm getting 217K EHP with max skills according to EFT. Also, how do you manage to fit all that? Even if you use 7 ion IIs you end up needing a +5% CPU implant in order to get it all to fit. |
