I havent found an answer on this question anywhere.
My question is
Is there a diffrence on the result of an invention, if you use the same BPO/BPC just the only diffrence is that one of these BPO/BPC has been ME/PE researched and the other one hasent?

So basicly is there a diffrence on the result of an invention if you use 2 different research ME/PE BPC?
I hope you understand my question.

Based on the feedback from our corp invention division, the BPC research level does not affect invention outcome in any way. So if you buy a ME 0 BPO from the market and make full run copies, those are good for invention.

Henry is correct, ME and PE have no bearing on Invention at all.

Does the BPO get used up in the process?

You can't do invention on BPOs just on BPCs.

The train of thought would go something like this:

Researched BPO Creates Researched BPC's thus raising the question does ME/PE Researched bpos affect invention.

So im sure he knows you cant do invention on BPO's, because you cannot research bpcs...

Right, I was curious as to why you couldn't use BPO. It could be used in similar manner that Interfaces are used; infinity use.

Because adding the production of BPCs as a requirement means that you can make isk just selling BPCs ;)

If you look at the introduction of invention you see that it provides 'jobs' for people to:

- Farm datacores
- Make BPCs
- Explore to find interfaces / parts (though this has died alot since they're infinitely usable)
- Invent T2 BPCs
- Build from T2 BPCs
- Mine Moon Minerals
- React Moon Minerals
- Produce T2 components
- Build the T1 items used in T2 production

It also provides an end to the monoply of T2 BPO ownership (meaning an equal investment in invention actually yields a far far greater return than a comparable investment in a T2 BPO).

If everything could easily be done by the one person and they could produce all the economy's needs of that item, then the profit margins would drop and building / inventing wouldn't be a serious profession and everyone would be back to mining / ratting / missioning again.
