Right, I was curious as to why you couldn't use BPO. It could be used in similar manner that Interfaces are used; infinity use.
Because adding the production of BPCs as a requirement means that you can make isk just selling BPCs ;)
If you look at the introduction of invention you see that it provides 'jobs' for people to:
- Farm datacores
- Make BPCs
- Explore to find interfaces / parts (though this has died alot since they're infinitely usable)
- Invent T2 BPCs
- Build from T2 BPCs
- Mine Moon Minerals
- React Moon Minerals
- Produce T2 components
- Build the T1 items used in T2 production
It also provides an end to the monoply of T2 BPO ownership (meaning an equal investment in invention actually yields a far far greater return than a comparable investment in a T2 BPO).
If everything could easily be done by the one person and they could produce all the economy's needs of that item, then the profit margins would drop and building / inventing wouldn't be a serious profession and everyone would be back to mining / ratting / missioning again.
