There's so many faction ships, lots of battleships too and most races have 2 different faction BS. But there's no faction Dominix, any reason for that or was it just forgotten?

Only the Amarr have two faction BS hulls. Everyone else has just their two faction BS based on one hull. But then the elite faction BS are extremely rare.

Okay, I guess I'll just trash my Rattlesnake, since my Navy Raven is the only hull used.....

OK...point taken. I'll clarify - each Empire Faction only uses one hull (except the Amarr). The pirate factions use other hulls e.g the Scorpion Hull is used by the Guristas for the basis of their Rattlesnake.

edit: No-one has yet factionised a Domi - or several other BS hulls.

On a different note; I'm training up to do PVP and am completely focussing on droneboats so far. I have very good mechanic skills, cap skills, my droneskills make up half my total SP and I'm working on all the modules/skill needed for PVP like neutralizers and MWD's. So far I've been doing missions mostly to make cash.

As I see it I have a few options shipwise; Vexor, Myrmidon (don't have the skill, don't like how it looks and haven't found a need for it) and my current ship the Dominix. Once I maxed out my drones skills (should take 2 more months max) what ship should I be aiming for next?

I have no gunnery skills whatsoever and don't feel the need (yet) to start training them).

What sort of PvP do you want to do? Blob, Small Gang, Solo?

There are a number of options, do you wish to use T2 ships? What's your budget?

I wouldn't suggest you learn PvP in a Domi.......something smaller would be better. Even a Vexor is getting a bit pricey for most PvP beginners.

I started PvP in a Vexor, but my ultimate goal is the Ishtar. Expect to lose, especially when you run into a T2 ship, which is most of the time in lowsec. I will run away from higher then a cruiser if I am able.

As far as price goes, a T2 PvP Vex with T2 drones and fittings is in the 10-15Mil range depending on how you set it up so its not that bad.

No heh, I'll be starting off in frigates (although we don't really have a good drone frigate). Thing is once I have good Vexor and Dominix skills I don't know what to go for. Should I stick to those ships and train up gunnery or should I specialise in a certain ship?

I want to be able to hold my own solo but since this is an MMO I'm more interested in being a viable part of a PVP group (at some point).

The drone frigate is the Imicus. Not super, sure, but it can hold 3 T2 lights. Most other frigates only hold one.

That is until you get to t2 frigates then the Ishkur kicks butt. But yeah the imicus is the drone frig of its class. Although the Gallente rookie ship can hold two light drones if i remember right.

Fixed that for you since the only non-gallente frigate size ship with drone bay its the sentinel (amarr electronic atack ship)

For frigates, I'd suggest training up your small hybrid skills, along with a few levels of the gunnery support skills (motion prediction, rapid fire, controlled bursts, etc.). You'll also need some EWAR skills, such as propulsion jamming, weapon disruption, etc. (just firing those off the top of my head, hope I got the names right - I'm at work - take a look in EveMon and check the descriptions before training them)

You could come along to one of our PvP Basic courses and learn a whole heap about frigate fitting, EWAR, tracking, gunnery, tactics, flying in a fleet, etc.

AND you get a trip to 0.0 to practice it all at the end of the class. Check out the website linked in my sig.

There's an Apoc Navy Issue, Apoc Imperial Issue and an Armageddon Imperial Issue.

The Imperial Issue are extremely rare - they were prizes in competitions.
