Just wanted to know what the CCP corperation player characters are flying!
best way to avoid the nerf bat is to fly ships that the nerf battalion fly, no offense CCP, I just figure your flying something more stable as you know the chit-chat and water cooler talk about what to nerf/boost next.
Plus - I'm pretty sure most of you have been playing since the beginning. |

Dreadnaughts. With the agility of inties. And the tanks of Titans. And the tracking of small t2 pulse. But seriously, Polaris frigs. |

lol - no no no - that's not what I meant.
I mean - what ships do the KNOWN CCP player characters fly, their player alts.
I know that they have player alts in differnt corperations that don't have any special skills and are just like the rest of us.
So - what do those players fly? |

I don't personally know what they fly, and this is slightly not on topic - but IMO the best way to deal with nerfs is to train multiple races once you've got a solid support skill base. Then you're sort of un-nerfable. For instance, when I started I trained Gallente. Gallente is at a low right now, so I'm training Amarr. I'll be good with Amarr in a few months order. When they get nerfed, Gallente will likely be a strong option again, or there will at least be some ships in my repertoire that will still be decent. More to your topic though: Given the radical shifts in "racial balance" over the last several years, I doubt that dev ship types affect the game balance to a significant degree. Really, we've just gone full-circle on what's overpowered right now. |

Who cares what they fly. Fly what you enjoy and go along for the ride. I was flying Amarr in the days when every second thread in Ships and Mods was "Amarr sucks for this reason" and "Amarr sucks for that reason". In any game, every race will have its time. Hell, someday I reckon even Caldari will have a decent PvP ship besides the Falcon.
(The Falcon comment was being facetious, please don't bombard me with BUT CALDARI HAS THE (X) AND IT RULLLLEZ NOOOOB!) |

Because the idea of "Space French" is really awesome to some people? Why is it no other race is given a "heritage" incidentally? |

Wow, that sux! Its like you make an incredibly awesome hi-tech uber house of te future.. And you cant live in it Its also silly as they dont get a first hand experience of the game, so itd be much harder to give fair balance etc, i mean how wld you know if a ship needs nerfing/boosting if you never fly it? They have to trust these forums which is definately not a good thing.. |

I would be very surprised if CCP employees were not allowed to play. Top devs have always stressed that it is their love of experiencing their very own living universe that keeps them working. I expect that more or less all CCP personel has normal player characters on TQ.
What they are not allowed to do is /reveal/ that they work for CCP while playing these. The reasons are twofold: First, the character becomes unplayable because a horde of whiners descends on their mailbox and private chat to "discuss" nerfs and buffs and petitions; and second, there will forever be the suspicion that they are passing out unfair advantages to their corpmates, even if they don't.
Of course, passing out unfair advantages is also forbidden...
And finally, I have heard rumors that assuming any sort of position of leadership, administration or trust within a player corporation or alliance is forbidden. But that might just be rumors. |

CCPs are definitly in the game, just do a search in People & Places with "CCP " (yes with the added space). They are all part of the "C C P (Crowd Control Productions)" corp and seem to have a unique station in Jove space called Magic Land. |
