After anchoring a POS in empire or in 0.0, do the shields need to be charged or are they fully charged after adding the fuel?

It's a low priority known bug (i.e. one they can't figure out how to fix). Bring a few ospreys fit for max repair and some energy fit BS and heal it up. It'll be ok after that. |

This is what you have to do to turn them on. Once they are up, then no, they are not fully charged right off the bat. I forget exactly where it starts at, but I believe it's 50%. So they will at least be partially charged. EDIT: It will charge itself up although it takes a while(a day or two i think), you can do what Letrange says above and bring in some shield reppers if you want to get it to 100% right away. |

When you anchor a POS, the shield starts at 50% and slowly charges to 100%. When you enter a password and finish putting the POS online the forcefield activates. |

Well I launched my POS in hi sec today, before activating the shield I decided to fill the fuel and stront bay full, then I put the pw in and seemed to enable the shields at 100%, I don't know if the bug has been fixed, or if it is the sequence in which I launced it, or maybe I was just lucky lol. Maybe someone can try the same thing and report their findings. |

Nix that last post. My appologies, I must have looked at the manage page before I enabled shields and everything was 100% (armor, structure) My shields were indeed 50% and coming up slowly. |

It's not a bug by the way, it's by design so that POS's being anchored offensively are less effective than established POS's if stomped on quickly. What WAS a bug was when some towers would reset to 50% every downtime for a few months, that was fixed a while back though. |
