1. CCP adds a skill called "Remote Drone Operation" that allows you to use 1 automated mining drone per level.
2. The automatic mining drone goes to a belt and automatically mines and brings back 64m3 of ore every 60 seconds.

This way people could have a EULA complient way to macro and macro mining becomes obsolete.

Worst, it's actually in line with development mindset.

Can't stop alt usage? Make it so only one character per account trains, so that at least players are buying extra accounts to use alts.

Can't stop using alts to fight in two separate parts of the world? Fine, provide players with jump clones!

Can't stop players from buying isk from isk sellers? Ahh, sell GTC's, and allow them to be traded for isk!

Can't stop people using BM's for instas? Sure, just change the warp mechanics so that everything can be warped to 0 anyhow!

Can't stop players from macro mining? Hell, just give them automated drones that macro mine for them!

Umm, the problem, bright eyes, isn't that macro mining is against the EULA, the problem is the economic damage that macro mining does to the Everse.

so you just leave your account logged in all day and get a free 90K M3 ore every day.

Good idea bob.

Doesn't moon mining do this anyway? Heck, don't even have to be logged in and taking up server space! Bam, instant casho!

How many moons does BoB have, anyhow? Just askin', for posterity's sake and all.

I know UNK has none ... Embarassed

When I first played a trial on this game 2 years ago I actually thought that minning drones were for mining while you were off somewhere else, I even invested time in anchoring and industrial ship skill until i found I couldnt train industrial on a trial, but my plan was simple set my drones to mine and drop in the secure container that was anchored nere by. Well that was a very nice pipe dream and all and shows how nieve I was.

Make your idea more acceptable change it so the drones are linked to the secure container thats anchored and the you at least have to be around to hawl the stuff betweent he container and the station. which can still be done with a macro, but industrial ships are easier to suicide gank then retrievers and hulks so thats a plus. you know if you plan to gank macroers..

I thought you could only train 1 Character per account.

From the sounds of it all those that do not possess the skill to create their very own macro to mine, salvage, mission run or rat are just bitter about that fact and come on the forums to complain. (Whine is so overused)

I hate this game, I hate the politics, I hate forums and I also hate people.

In between puberty, buying your first house, having children, and dieing there is war, famine & suffering. I am honoured that you find time in your existence to complain about automated scripts for use in an internet space game.

Yeah, I was just pointing out the obvious, cause I couldn't guess if the op was being subtle, or silly.

And what exactly is wrong with most of those decisions? Would you prefer that characters get to train in three directions at once, or would you prefer that we don't get alts at all? You like beating people over the head with multi-hour travel times? And WTZ should have been in the game from day one, but even if you are opposed, the fact that the workarounds were worse for the game than the mechanic should mandate that you finally implement it. And GTCs for money is absolutely brilliant - you destroy the market in counter-EULA isk selling, you let poor people keep playing the game and make sure that you still get paid, and you prevent the abuses people might engage in to gather assets for isk sales, since you keep sale-for-profit against the rules.

Why do you assume that designing within the constraints imposed by the reality of being a popular for-profit massively multiplayer online game is something that can just be ignored?

and as for this being like moon mining, you gotta protect your moon and fuel the poses so it's neither free or no work. If you wanna use the moon minerals then you gotta do a whole lot of other stuff too.

This concept does not work.

That is as if you'd say "To remove poverty, just give everyone more money".
It doesn't work. Especially not, because the Macro Miners would use it too, of course. In addition to what they do now. Sure, everyone would produce more minerals, but that would not really mess with the Macro Miners. It would mess with everyone else, though. Especially with the real miners. All the belts in Empire would be instafarmed by swarms of rabbit drones, each time the server starts up, mineral prizes would go down even more and the only result would be a decrease of economical pressure on those who are the power jugglers already anyway. That is as if there was a skill that would just create money automatically.

macro miner problem can be solwed - need to put low minerals in imperial market(0.5-1.0) - sell/bue orders from npc corporations.and make price so low, that no one have enough good profit(isks/$\hour) to mine in hisec on macros.

all miners need to work in low-00 sec.space.There no one can be safe.Macrominers - will die.Make it.
