Will the following build be enough tank for fastboating through Level 4 Recon 3/3? It has hella velocity (2341 m/s) but only 7182 shield hitpoints. Iím a bit hesitant to try it first hand as Iíve already had a few other cruisers go pop in my experimentations with this mission. I really want something to finish the mission quicker and Iíve heard the Stabber with a BS AB is the way to go. Good stuff or no?

It'll never align in time.

Swap the 100mn ab for a 10mn ab and you'll make it through in time.

if he cuts the AB at just the right time, it should be OK.

What do ABs have to do with align time? Just curious... ugh

The penalties associatd with their mass is not applied until you activate the AB. With the AB off you have the stabber's usual agility. Click it on and your cruiser will actually handle worse than a BS.

And while the stabber may make it through just fine, if all else fails I'm nearly certain the speedy BC's minimitar have will make it.

LOL - talk about massive overkill.

I did it in a EXECUTIONER, as a matter of fact. Damage resistance or buffer doesn't mean much in that mission, speed and maneuverability is EVERYTHING. The damage waves come in set intervals (about 15-20 seconds), each one is larger than the last, and they are for the large part unresistable.

The config I did it with:

(Executioner, Recon level III)

LOWS:

1x named overdrive
1x PDU

MEDS:

1x Cold-Gas 1 Arcjet Thrusters
1x mediuym shield extender, named.

HIGHS:

Nothing.

Made it to the gate in that with 1/4 shield remaining.

I just slow boat in my normal L4 mission running CNR, just click approach and go grab a drink and come back in a few minutes and you'll be sitting beside the gate with 1/2 shields still.

wrong :D

Resistance and amount means EVERYTHING.

You start out taking something like 500(or so.. i wrote a detailed topic on it, but cant be aresed to find it again) damage on every resist. then it goes to 550. then 600... it will get to the point where there is a major thing of like 1000 per resist i think. (probably wrong, but meh).
This is easily done in most ships actually...
