Ok.This is the deal.I propose that space own by milita shoud be militia space.
So if we do fight for that space and lose our ships in this fights and so on,we shoud allso be abel to set our standing to other corps in region and be abel to atack them and not get concored, cose that part of space is militia space so it is suposed that we can decided who we want or not want in our space.Im tired of pirates siting on gates and just picking ships out,and filling thers killboards.I mean if militia did conquer the certan amount of space shoud have right to atack who ever is in that space whithout being atackd by sentris and so on.Why do we nead to toleret pirats in our space????????
What do u think ppl abouth this?

Militias have to obey the same laws that everyone else does when it comes to CONCORD.

Fire first at someone who you are not legally at war with in low-sec, you'll take a security status hit. If anything needs to be changed, it's the fact that pirates attacking a militia member aren't flagged to the entire militia.

This. Well, actually they are, but the fifteen minute criminal flag really isn't long enough to be meaningful. Of course, 'neutrals' (whether they are pirates or anti-pirates) who attack militia members with very low sec status don't generate this flag, but I'm not sure they should, anyway.

I'd still like to see the creation of 'bounty hunter licenses' that allow you greater freedom to attack shady individuals in low-sec, but that is a seperate topic from the FW issue.

good idea but you have to remember FW is something optional, so people reserve the right to not to join. If you give owner factions of systems, the right to set standing, this privilege might be abused. It will be like giving someone the right to set kill-right on someone, which conflicts with optional choice of getting involved in FW or not.

(a) If you attack most actual pirates first, you don't get a sec status loss or GCC because they're -10 anyway. It's trivially easy to get to -10, and ratting is soul destroying.

(b) If pirates attack FW members, they're flagged to everyone for the next 15 minutes. Naturally, it doesn't mean you can go off and attack him first afterwards, but see (a).

(c) Who cares about the occasional sec status loss? If he fires back, it's not too big, as long as you don't pod, and you're not going to be doing it on a daily basis.

The biggest problem I see on this situation is though that most FW members fly around in smaller ships, even mostly T1 as there are a lot of plexes that don't allow T2 in. This makes the pirates live just a bit to easy, and it seems to attract them as **** does with flies. But the proposed solution is to open for abuse.

Tbh, if we want to fight in the plexes we have to bring the same size ships too, and there's little profit in killing frigates anyway.

I do sometimes go to the frigate sized FW plexes in a Rifter or destroyer, but that gives FW guys preety solid chances. Hell, last time I pirated someone in a FW plex it was a Rupture (was done with the plex so no rat fire) and I was flying a Rifter. Hardly unfair Very Happy

Indeed it's worth remembering that true pirates are out for the money. I'd say a bigger 'issue' in FW are those neutrals who just seek a easy gank for fun, but for some reason don't feel like actually joining in the war, in which case they could do it legally...

I don't think the existing neutral mechanics need changing. There's already a separate thread discussing the issue of outlaws inside militias, which is a complicated beast.
