My biggest ***** about you lot "Pirates & Gankers" is the ones that hide in NPC corporations and their's a hell of alot of you. I find this practice cowardly as what recourse does anyone have? none it seems as you cannot war dec them or even hire merc's to kill an individual (replys ive gotten back were "not worth our while"). This should be changed as soon as you got negative sec statis you can only stay in a NPC Corp for one week or its an automatic -10 sec statis. This will allow pilots to change corps but will prevent the cowards hiding and laughing at everyone. Ok flame me or whatever but whats everyones take on this?

While you have actually made a fair point, any Pirate worth his/her salt is in some type of Corporation. Look at my Corp, for example. Everybody was always complaining that there was no way to combat Ninja Salvaging, because most Ninjas were in NPC Corps.

I fixed that, and I must say, I've lost count on how many Wardecs we've received because of it. (I do believe we're somewhere between 15 and 20 right now, and in three short months, that's pretty impressive.)

Cool

I do agree that there should be a mechanic in place that allows the declaration of hostility towards an individual, even one in an npc corp, but I think your solution is pretty bad.

Take your time and think of something intelligent and post it in the features and ideas section and see if something comes of it.

You only get kill rights under certain circumstances, and it's not an effective mechanic.

That only leaves can flipping , actually. A NPC corper cannot wardec , any action that gives a crim (suicide gank or lowsec kills) grants killrights. The victim might forfeit killrights by fighting back , but the point is there's always a fighting chance - you just have to be smart about it.

eh, im not so sure about that, lol i have ****ed off quite a few people, new and old in my short life, if they could war dec ME (im in gallente milita) that would suck, lol, not only do i have 7000 other people who have effectively war decced me (caldari milita) but also the people i have ****ed off?? lol nowhere would be safe for me

also, what is your corp's policy on popping militia at planets? i was at OMS a few days ago in a big fleet battle, wapred to a planet and got popped by enemy, called for a cleanup crew to get rid of them, i warp back to the planet in a rookie ship to gather my loot and a VETO member warps in and pops me in an inty? is this allowed??? i DEMAND to know, so i can post an official complaint to your corp, lolLaughing JK

I think you're misunderstanding the situation. We're all aware that NPC corps can't declare or be declared upon and yes, in certain circumstances, kill rights are provided, and can be acted on.

The problem is however, not every situation gets such opportunities and can flipping is not a valid option.

Being "smart" about it only goes so far, as there is no mechanic in place, other than your "can flipping" to get respectable revenge on indivduals hiding in npc corps. There is in fact NOT always a fighting chance, as you say.

The op posted his suggeted change (albeit silly), and that's why I suggested he think of a different mechanic and post it in the ideas forum.

Thanks for the feedback.
To Dheorl you exactly the type of player im talking about.

To Tchell Dahhn solution to you guys is we shoot the wrecks now and if you're going for the mission objective we just hand it in incomplete.

To Vodun it was only a suggestion and a possible solution.

To Princess KyKy - kill rights only applies to the ganker that lays the final blow not the other 3-5 gankers (who are also in a NPC Corp) sitting at a Hi Sec gate.

and Vodun i did post it in here because you guys are the expert griefers and I'm sure youve thought of game mechanics that would put an end to this.

See, and that's where you're wrong. When we see Mission Runners blowing up wrecks, and handing in Missions incomplete, we laugh about it in Corp Chat - a lot!

Do me a favour. The next time a Ninja Salvager invades your Mission, while you blow up your wrecks and then leave to hand in your Mission incomplete, please, please smack in local!

Name the Ninja Salvager invading your Mission, and make sure you link it their profile! They hate when you do that!

(Seriously. All Ninja Salvagers have really low self-esteem, and kick puppies out of frustration at their inadequacies.)

Very Happy

You know what gets me? people who treat EVE like a game, think it's supposed to be fun, this is serious goddamn internet spaceships!

A coward is more likely to survive than some gun ho muppet, so calling suicide gankers cowards is dumb, it goes against all that being a coward entails, you have to have balls of steel to suicide man, those cops are out to get ya.

I agree, how can you get so worked up over a game? If you get popped you get popped, it's not like anything you do lose can't be replaced (just takes some blasted effort ffs).

As for all the pirates and gankers all I've gotta say is gods bless every one of you a-holes, I mean how BORING would this game be if all we did was sit around mining and whatnot all day? They put the spice and excitement into the game.

Boo hoo. Its often a lot easier to pirate from an NPC corp. Someone opens up my info, they see "OMG PIRATE CORP" and run. If I was in an NPC corp, they'd see Deep Core Mining. While my sec is low (like a real pirate should be), not everyone knows DCM is an NPC corpRazz

Besides, you really think war decs or mercs are worth half a crap against a half way decent pirate corp? RightRolling Eyes

Now the REAL cowards are the pirates that keep their sec at -1.9 all the time so they can camp gates with little threat. I also think they call themselves anti-pirates from time to timeLaughing

I would like to see a mechanic that kicks folks out of a NPC corp after a number of skillpoints, (a low one).

We have similar frustrations also, on the gankee side. Many RMT farmers, and general douchbags hide by simply leaving their current wardecced corp to a NPC corp to avoid their penalty for existance.

Of course, that is where suicide ganking comes in, which, sadly is the one of the few alternatives.

ehh ...use your brain . how would that work? you geting kicked out of an NPC corp that would imply that you are geting kicked into a random player corp? bet that corp would be totaly trilled about geting a pirate into there mist that arent alowed in an NPC corp.

it just wouldnt work

There are several effective counters against hisec gankers. And losec pirates can simply be avoided by not entering losec.

Have fun mining/trading/producing (always remember that you do no business when nobody destroys what you create) and try to get rid of your frustration somehow - maybe go and gank the guys who ganked you Razz
