Would be interesting to have a button in the repair facility that would scan your ship for a 'bug' device. Would cost you X amount of ISK to have it removed depending on the type it is.

This device would be deployed like a mine and when you hit it, you would hear a loud THUMP and you will know that you are being tracked. If you are the person this mine belongs to, you will get a notification that your tracking device in X system has been activated and you should be able to track it in your map.

This would make the device easy to remove but you will have to remember to scan your ship every once in a while just in case your sound was off or you weren't paying attention and got 'bugged'. Could make it really fun if you could have a smart bug that you could set to only activate when a certain Corporation or Person were to pass by. Would be great for bounty hunters which are pretty much non existant now...

I like the idea.. maybe a diffrent delivery system.. but its a good idea..
It would make bouty hunting more viable

I love this idea, it would be very cool to be able to build 'tracer' missiles which are light missiles that are very hard to build (ie tech2 components, morphite, etc.), you fire them at a target PC ship, and then you know what system the ship is in, and can warp to it if it's in system with you.

Facilitated by a tracking key (object) that is dropped into your hold when the missile is fired, if it hits home, then you can load the key into a special tracking module and follow it to your heart's desire.

i like your implementation better. but i think there should be a time limit for the sensor.

This could make pirating alot more fun.

imagine setting hundreds of these tracking devices at a gate into 0.0 space. Then all a pirate has to do is check their map to see where all the players have been going Very Happy
