Well done in your latest movies. I dont know about you guys but I but I am excited to see the ambulation official trailer, just looking at the last scene of the EA movie, you can see that that is now using somthing other than ingame engine. I hope that they use it for ambulation trailer with fully rendered chracters similar to the caldari outlaw video, with a Single pod pilots thoughts on NEW Eden...

Perhaps even a series of short chronicle type trailers.

1 for each race teasers, then a huge trailer overview...WOOP FOR EON....:):)

The last scene was probably rendered in a standard 3D setup, as used for films normally. Maya or suchlike.

Those were rendered using D10D engine. Not available to the public - currently.

Why care about ambulating...(just say walking sheeeesh!) around in a space station....I mean it's still cool but I'd like to walk around in my ship. Look out different views and such. As it stands, a tiny shuttle might as well be as big and uninteresting as a titan...same size on my screen unless I'm next to one.
Maybe this is not doable but I would love to see it.

The last 30 seconds, i.e. the sequence with the Minmatar fleet blowing up, wasn't rendered with the in-game engine I don't think.

I demand, with my rubber band, that CCP make more awesome wideos

Or I'll smite someone with it (the rubber band, that is)

That was rather freaking awesome, I pray to the virtual gods planets in this game will look good at some point.

plz, for ppl sake, stop it. you have no idea.
the last 20 secs are not DX10, but a 3d-render directly from a 3d-software. yes, they use the new models build for the trinity-upgrade (but in trinity the dont run with full polygon count and will not in DX10 either, the high-res modules are used to produce textures).

the devs stated they would like the game to look something like that in a few years, but its a long long way there yet (and will not be DX10).

In my expert opinion. The two teaser-trailers were capture using the game-engine, to get the game special feel. But the proper trailer looks rendered, but using in-game art assets, though with added details and higher resolution textures.

I tried to explain is the last time this kind of post came up withphtos of the full rez models in the trinity art book and got flamed for saying eve doesn't run with full rez textures :/

So I'm going to support your post because that evil null minded troll comes by again! :)

your spot on the full rez modelsa are used to create the normal maps to make the current in-game modela to look good.

it also leaves CCP with the option to make full moves this one or maybe even a real movie someday without having to model anything new. Which is why they spent so long on it.

So someone we could see that last 30 seconds be in-game footage minus the weapon effects. SO seeing it as DX10 for instance isn't too farfetched. But untrue yes, in this case :P but it is what the devs want the game to look like. :)
