I know ECM heat has been stacknerfed for some time now, so now rep heat is stacknerfed. Is overheat on guns/launchers still non-stacking nerfed? Oddly, it appears that the rep amount is stacknerfed, but the rep speed is not.
I had to check my guns in something full of mag fields to assure myself CCP wasn't really that intent on making me cry, and thank god overload on guns is not subject to stacking.

The idea of stacking anything's overload bonus just seems absurd to me.

the whole concept of overloading fails anyway

If this were true, then nobody would train Energy Management to V (I sure as hell wouldn't be training it right now) except for, maybe, the Amarr.

Just...fail....

Time for someone to bring this up in the CSM Assembly Hall. Any volunteers?

CCP strikes again. Seems to me that these people lack a fundamental understanding of the word communication. EvE is a great game founded on great ideas but marred by ****ty developers with even ****tier ideas.

I thought making it stronger was kind of the point of overloading, but No says CCP.

I recall when overloading was introduced, CCP said it would "add a whole new dimension to the game", and they made a lot of fuzz about it like it was a new killer feature in this game that would have justified a new "expansion" (it finally turned out to be a feature that not even justifies ****ing up the whole module interface, which it does)

Now apparently it turns out that overloading also adds a whole new dimension to game balance. Unfortunately, CCP can't afford to hire the whole new dimension of game designers needed to handle that, so they decided to make overloading viable only for a select few modules, such as webs.

Working as intended, I'd say.

I won't cry about lost training time though. Energy Management V, is nice to have.

Now I wonder when they will nerf Garmon-style heat sinks. Not like there's a need to, but I know from past experience that game designers hate it when players show creativity.

Pretty coherent: your guns aren't stacking nerfed as they have nothing to stack with; you overload the gun/missile launcher, not the magnetic stabilizer, or heatsink or gyroscope or ballistic control.

About the armor rep it seem an effect of the stacking nerf of rigs for armour repairs.
Seem a bit absurd to stack nerf dual rep system if that is what you are saying as it is already weaker than shield boost and amplifier.

I've not yet managed to overload aux nanos either, yet the reps' overload bonus is stacking with the aux nanos. Same applies to shield boost amps.

What I'm saying is the overload amount bonus of armor repairers and apparently shield boosters is now stacking nerfed against rigs, as in the overload bonus is being counted as a module. Someone else pointed out that boost amps are stacking against the overload bonus as well, in my first post I assumed this didn't apply to shield boosters at all as there are no boost amount rigs; I was incorrect.

Ignoring any differences between armor and shield tanks, it's still patently absurd.

This is seriously dumb.

It's a stealth nerf to PvP active tanking which is seriously in need of buffing, not nerfing.

It'd be nice to either hear some justification for this or to see it changed back.

There's more to this than just reps, ECMs come to mind as well.

Also, webs/disruptors' overloading is stacking penalized with a skirmish gangmod(!). I.e. normal web's 10km, overloaded is 13km, web with gangmod is 13,150km, but overloaded web with gangmod is not 10*1.3*1.315=17,095. Instead it's 16,578=10*1.3*(1+0.315*0.87). Awesome, eh? Especially when you only come to know this after a month's worth of training Rolling Eyes

That's been bugreported for ages, but nothing's changed so far... and I honestly don't think something'll change in near future.
