1. Yes, it lets us view websites, without having to close Eve.
2. Quite a bit. It is very useful to view news from my corp.
3. Anything from 5-10 minutes. Rarely more than that, I'm not reading CNN online or something. Very Happy
4. That would depend on the benefits of such an application, but as long as it could still be minimized I would have no problem with it.
5. Yes. It would be more worthwhile than say, a simple news updater that had to be on.
6. I never have. I prefer to focus on the game, with a full screen. Kindof immerse myself into the game, which in windows mode i simply cant do.
7. Only when I am listening to music or if I need to see something the in game browser cant see. I prefer not to.
8. I took the time didn't I?

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is?

Yes

2. How often do you use the IGB?

Not very often

3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable)

A minute or two

4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.)

If it doesn't make more lag, it wouldn't matter either way to me.

5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered?

It could, depends on the innovations and information on it.

6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode?

Never.

7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications?

Every now and then.

8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey?

If its free, its for me :)

Well, as long as it doesn't mess with my game experience (lag, etc) its right.

Because no one reads past the first page? Let alone page 10 (or whatever) where he says "I'm done".

No, the idiots aren't to blame. It's the OP that should have changed the thread title once he had enough responses.

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is?
Yes, it allows me to browse certain websites (it doesnt work for flash and others) in game.

2. How often do you use the IGB?
I use it to post killmails and to use various trading help sites.

3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable)
10-15 seconds.

4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.)
Id certainly consider it. There are some considerations tho, would i simply be able to bookmark the application so if i wanted to post a killmail i could go to that and then back to the app and everything would be fine? and some other things. I am an old WoW player and the lack of addons in EVE is one of the few things i miss, this could make up for it.

5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered?
If i can earn is by it, im more positive, if i have to pay isk for it, it depends on the cost. The other two points are obviously positive,

6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode?
Allways, partly because i run multiple accs at times.

7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications?
Once per like 5 minutes? Im doing it right now o.O

8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey?
It would certainly be nice, id much rather have some awsome "addon" for my eve tho :)

Doesn't hurt to try, right?

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is?
Yes.

2. How often do you use the IGB?
Anytime I'm mining or running missions...so pretty often.

3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable)
I usually keep the IGB open for most of the session...although it stays minimized most of the time.

4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.)
Yes. Although I do know that several IGB websites slow down the client...in which case I'd be less apt to keep it open.

5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered?
Depends on the quantity of ISK involved. Cool

6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode?
Yes, I often run multiple clients at once and windowed is the easiest/quickest way to ALT-TAB.

7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications?
Constantly.

8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey?

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is?

Yes, It's the in game internet browser.

2. How often do you use the IGB?

once in a while, usually I just run EVE in window mode and use my regular browser.

3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable)

30 minutes.

4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.)

Personally I wouldn't mind, as long as it could be minimized. Otherwise it would make playing the game very difficult. I don't know how others would be able to handle this with slower internet speeds however.

5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered?

If the site is innovative and doesn't lag so much that it takes away from it's potential. Then yes I wouldn't mind if the browser was opened.

6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode?

Yes, as mentioned before, but not all the time.

7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications?

Often, especially when instant messaging friends.

8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey?

Would really appreciate more, but will accept 10 million. (A Poor newbie I am)

as long as it didnt cause lag there is no problem

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is?

But of course!

2. How often do you use the IGB?

Very often, half the time for MiningBuddy, the greatest mining operations application, and the other half to share jpg's with my fellow pilots! ( I used to use it at the Time Cube Syndicate Casino, but that IGB app has closed down years ago.)

3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable)

Very long periods of time, unless it's jsut a jpg. :) Then I gawk at the ship painted like hellokitty, or lolcatz image, and then shut it down. :)

4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.)

I wouldn't mind leaving it open, I already do so for a million chat channels I talk in anyway :) whats another IGB window? :)

5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered?

nope it doesn't change at all. I like moving isk around. And I love innovative sites. I'm curious to see what you have to offer.

6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode?

No I do not.

7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications?

Some days it's almost constant back and forth to the desktop. And other days, I'm chatting in the in game chat rooms. :)

8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey?

Nah it's ok, you keep it Riethe. I still love ya. :)

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is?
Yes.

2. How often do you use the IGB?
Not very often at all, actually. I just don't need it for much of anything.

3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable)
Short periods of time, less than 5 minutes.

4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.)
If it could be minimized, I wouldn't be terribly concerned about it. Opening and closing the browser introduces a significant amount of lag, so as long as I wasn't doing that while I was in a position of danger I wouldn't mind.

5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered?
Well, most likely yes.

6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode?
Only when using other services or doing two things at once, such as working on a side project and playing EVE or talking on an IM client. Otherwise I keep EVE fullscreened.

7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications?

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is?
Yes I do.

2. How often do you use the IGB?
A few times a day

3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable)
not that long (2-5min) I don't keep it open when im not using it.

4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.)
It would entirely depend on the application and how well it suited my needs during the time that I am playing but I wouldn't really mind due to it being minimised.

5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered?
No.

6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode?
No, never, Alt+Tab is just as quick.

7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications?
Quite a number of times per session.
