Blah Blah Blah splitting alliances blah. As a corp goonfleet had been up to three corporations because of size restrictions before the sovereignty skill. GoonWaffe, and GoonPlatoon. We just used a channel and not corp chat. Heck we do the same thing now we don't use corp or alliance chat we use other channels and our forums which put CCP's to shame. People will not just stop they adapt.

I'm going to lay the blame for this squarely at CCP's feet. They have not kept up with what the players are/want to do. The utilization of 0.0 space would be much greater if CCP gave alliances the means to monetize them. Hell you can't even let another corp use your jump bridge network without taking a decent sized chance.

CCP needs to give us a MUCH better API into the game so we can make our own tools and access schemes. Then players could setup systems. Such as allowing neutral freighters to use certain routes in your jump bridge network and entry into trade hub stations. Automatically charging them for each jump. Or maybe the mean to monitor commodity markets in real time? Or improving the UI so we can have a real breakdown between the tactical and strategic aspects of fleet warfare. I'm sure players and alliances could come up with tons of useful tools if they just had the means to. But no, the UI and API in general are still a bad joke.

The lag will still suck. And there is no sign of that changing anytime soon.
