Um.. huh?
You mean, a client that works on PDAs and that sort of thing?
There was one in development, but that stalled when the people working on it for CCP left university I believe. I haven't heard anything further on it since then. |

I think they said they put it on hold because it was too hardto work round the security issues and they wnated to concentrate on more important stuff, which was Trinity at the time i think. |

CCP if you were to open up positions to work on the mobile client, I would apply immediately (no joke). |

IIRC, the mobile client was part of a project with Reykjavík University. I imagine that the student (and/or project supervisor) drank themselves into a stupor, because the project stalled. I can't remember how far it got, but I can remember someone from CCP saying that it wasn't going any further in the forseeable future. |

I would love to see a mobile client, not one that allowed undocking , just out of sanity, but chat/eve mail, market and skill training would be great. Make my life easier anyway... |

well, considering many people leave their computers on all the time and also have always-on internet connections why not just use remote desktop or an equivalent to put Eve on anything you like. |

I remeber them talking a long time ago about what we now call trinity.
they said there would be 3 forms of eve: EVE classic: the old eve with the old graphics EVE: what we now call trinity EVE lite: a version of eve for pda's and top end mobs where you can access the market, contracts, corp managment and character sheet.
that sort of thing would be pretty useful for alot of people i think, but i don't see why they can;t make all that accessible via an internet browser. |

funny thing is, there was an actual, more or less running beta version of the eve mobile client. I remember blogs and dev reports from just before E3 one year about how they had to scramble around last minute to find a particular handheld device or PDA (likely a win-mobile machine) to demo the cool software on for all the Industry folks.
and after that, never another peep about it. |

Hi All,
How about just making some of the tools available, like your wallet with enabled trading, and changing of skills. What you think, should be easy.

Or get a USB HSDPA modem. I must admit I am very curious about the possibility of playing EVE with a HP 2133 Mini Note. However I'm waiting for HP to upgrade the CPU to an Isiah as I think a C7 won't be strong enough. So, are you playing EVE using the Linux or the Windows client and are you using a 701 or a 901? |

Whoot! Yes please! However, frankly it does not need to be a 'mobile client'. What we're really asking for is a myeve web interface for evemail, market access and skills which could be accessed on most mobile devices these days. As it would be part of teh myeve website it would be as secure as your account and access to the forums is. |

Hey, I'm looking at getting an eee, are you running the new 900 or the older one (7" screen, can't remember the model)? How well does eve run on it? Are you running it on Linux or Windows? Easy install? Sorry for all the questions, but quite excited about the prospect of beiong able to run eve on something that portable. |

IN all seriousness - I don't think a mobile client in a cell phone or w/e can be done. The games way too complex - however, It would be awesome to have a client on your cell phone which you can use to login with and change your skills and/or trade on the markets That would be so great if your a working man. |
