Has anyone reached a standing of 10.0 with an agent other than tutorial agent, is it possible and is there any point in me working towards agent standin 10.0? Wouldn`t it be nice if there was a completion bonus...

It's possible to get your standing close enough to 10.0, that it displays as that (something like 9.996) but it takes ages and is totaly pointless.

I have a 9.7 but will keep going.

Maybe the DEVS can look at this ....why is being a good mission runner for an agent pointless?

Surely rewards for hard work and loyalty are required ?

And maybe I mean more than a frigate/ cruiser bp now and again.

These game needs GOALS , so make them worthwhile.

I would like to see a life changing mission at 10.0.

An I dont mean a 36 jump into 0.0 space for loot that you can get in your home system.

The mission where you went for an old battery (or similar) from abandoned station, into the unknown and against harsh foes, that meant a bp was in the offering was fun in the old days.

Just a thought....Abit like sec status...why bother....buy if Concord offered a "gift" to very high ranking sec status people then maybe you'd get less Pirates?

Just a thought....

this was discussed in detail by the players with no Dev comment or imput at all. (dont all gasp at the same time)

shame as it seems like a very good idea and also a worth while goal to pursue.
(quick somebody push it under the carpet with all the other good ideas)

There are rewards. Just wait until Level 4 and 5 Agents. If you think implants are nice rewards for level 3, think of what Level 5 will have!! Very Happy

i have 10.0 with Caldari Funds Unlimited and i'm on the way to do that with State and Region Bank...
and yes some special bonus would have been nice, or at least some kind of evemail from the CEO. or a unique item, like a medal or whatever...

To actually reach 10 is an impossibility, because the system is an asymptotic one. (Huh? What? Aargh, nooo, complicated maths terms... Laughing)

Well, it works like this. Every time you complete a mission, your standing goes up by some fraction of the difference between your current standing and 10. It's analogous to the frog who is placed by an evil witch in the middle of a 2-yard-wide circle, and has a spell cast on him so that on his first jump, he can go 1 yard, and every jump thereafter will take him half the distance of the jump before. There's no limit to how CLOSE to the edge of the circle he can reach, but he can NEVER actually get there.

There's no limit to how close to 10 you can be (and, due to the rounding-off display, it might actually show as 10.00 once you're over 9.995) ... but you can't, ever, actually get there.

From a practical point of view, once you're over 9.00, the agent already wants to marry you and have your babies, so anything over and above that isn't really achieving anything useful, except bragging rights. ("Mine's bigger than yours..." ...oh yeah? Mine's almost nine and a half..." Shocked)

It might be worth remebering that standing decay (removed due to moaning) will probaly have to be re-introduced before standing can take on more importance, so thoses 9+ standing will be pretty much impossible to maintain.
Then we'll get another round of "but I did 12 million missions to get this 9.996 standing, I'll quit if it goes down".

So maybe it'd be better to get around the corps a bit more, try some 0.0 agents, do something other than missions when you start to max out your standings.

this is probably how the system works baldour - but i don't think that the variable for this purpose has an infinite amount of decmial points. it will probably reach 10 due to rounding not just for the display but in the actual variable itself, unless of course they limited it so that it can't physically reach 10 (9.999999999999999999999999999999.... to whatever decimal point being the max).

YES, and they have to be implemented soon (no damn TM here). I'm in for more then 5 month' now and it starts to get boring for freelancers like me and many others I'm talking to. Did every single mission for many times, got every useless reward. Don't know what to do with 30k pieces of tobacco, thousands of slaves and hundreds of homeless, or even all those useless drugs. My agent is bugged and stops giving the regular kill missions from time to time. Escrow shows much less offers than before the highway was changed,
wich reduces the chances to buy/sell named items, without traveling around for ages ... a.s.o.

Every single piece of available deep space is claimed and with that much new players, there will be more and more "heroic" player killers, so that npc-hunting in low sec is not a real option anymore. Sounds frustrated? In deed, I am a bit a the moment. This is nothing new, I think everybody has such "phases" while p(l)aying this game. But there seems to be no silverlining on the EVE-horizon Rolling Eyes

Sorry, I would like to be more constructive at all

btw. agent standing is at 9.93 and seems to be "frozen"

That;s just plain not true, there are various bit's of 0.0 space where anyone can visit. Pure Blind is my local bit of 0.0, it's not claimed and the nearest alliance are the PA who keep the area dangerous for most pirates. There are charactes less than two months who I run into quite often out there.

If a 2 month newbie corp member can hunt NPCs solo in PB I'm sure you can deal with a bit of 0.1-0.4. If the local PC 'rats are a problem move, they only tend to hunt the most popular systems.
