Low framerates is not down to eve or ccp its down to spending 50 quid and updating you graphics card. I run 2 clients at 1368 each with a 50 card and they both get 30fps+.

Sorry this is not true in any aspect at all.
I have a dual sli setup 512mb gfx per card running 2 21" screens and 2 accounts in windows, gfx drivers are the latest updated 2 days ago, but my fps performance still drops when focus is set to one of the windows. oh and btw the whole system is 64bit so its not a cpu problem either.

and with all this patching crashing, extended downtime its beginning to feel like MS are running the show around here :(

PLEASE FIX IT!

How come the people who complain about 100%cpu use low frame rates etc are on laptops or low end machines.

Trinity is a high end game client. Its system intensive. If ccp only listened to people who have crap computers then it would never get upgraded and look as wonderfull as it does.

If eve is running too slow... Your computer is crap! simple as that.
Nothing wrong with eve.

I agree that the decent thing for CCP to do would be to extend everyone's game time by the unforseen delay i.e. from 16:00 to 02:30 on patch day, and 12:00 till 14:00 (fingers crossed) today. All I can say is I was caught out by the delay the first time and lost probably 8-9 hours of skill time. Fortunately this time around I set hull 5 going, which won't be finished until the end of next week :)

Finally, I think what some people are missing is that this is a game! Is one or two nights of not skilling your character really going to hurt that much?

p.s. you often have to scoop drones if they become incapacitated by damage, so they won't return under their own power

100% CPU?!

CCP ExeFile takes up 104.456k RAM when not logged in, about 300k when playing.
As for CPU it takes between 6% CPU when idle and 30-40% CPU when fighting (on a Core 2 Duo)

Seems very wierd, really... I dont deny it happens to you, but still is wierd.

Yet more and more delays. Is this upgrade planned at all of just hoping for the best?

This is just silly, it's always a new excuse, more delays, more failure more GTC wasted. I appreciate you'll encounter problems but these should be forseen. I'm fed up of reading it should be back tonight or early the next day and it's down again for another half day. I don't think you should promise things because it doesn't get delivered within the time you mention.

You know when I get my GTC I pay for 30 days, not 29, 28 or 27 but 30. I've lost 3 days of my time so far...I trust I'll be compensated? Or will I have to lose the time that I pay for?

Who says you pay for DTWink
if there was no DT maybe you would be paying more.

Coming from someone who learing to code, some problems with patchs cant aways been seen till you have 10k + people running the program.

Yes theres still bugs there working on it, this is still the best MMO out there imo, and this is what you have to pay sometimes for such a good game(there trying new content that has not been done before), if EA was running eve we still would not 90% of the content that we have in game now.

I was in a Mission called: Level 1 (Worlds Collide), with my girl-Friend and we flew together a mission.
So far so good.
After we had rescued the 20 Hostiles,i wanted to make a look at the cartel base. And then it comes...
It was full of Rocketships which are shooting on my Punisher. It was unbelieveable. I cant Imagine, when, if there where a chance to get through with a cruiser , that i will survive this crap.
Hey thats a Level 1 Mission.
But okay then i thought it where better to go out of the hell, then i warped.
I waited 10 seconds.
the warp started and in the warp tunnel my ship explodes. And i was on the way to a station . IMAGINE. I have a video putted in this bugreport. send me your sight of view in words please .I think there where to much explosions around, that caused the error.
But in Fact, i got away and there where no reason that my ship should blowing up.
I want to get my 15mio isk back.
I had so much tec 2 fittings and weapons 2 mios each.
D A M N ! Fortunately i can live with the loss of my ship ,but in this reason , im very very afraid of the game.

here is the vid with original sound. in the back my girlfirend :)

Well it takes 100% cpu on high-end systems (making them slow) too. It should be relative easy to fix, because it most of the time the game isnt really doing anything.

edit: on 1.5GHz laptop, and ~1.9GHz workstation

You are right, I'm on a low end machine, it could use an overhaul. But I'm not going to spend the cash on it atm. But thats a whole different story, it dosent concern the issue we have atm.

I've been running EVE fine for a long long time, then 1 patch comes, and it messes up the game. This is not in any way related to my low end computer. Theres a code glitch, I can disable all features, enable all of them, nothing changes. Its not client side, its bad patching. Its like you wake up one day, and your car is broken after having it at the mechanic, then the mechanic tells you, sry it didnt make it. You get it back more brokent han it was when you turned it in.... Its not something you'll just accept :)

If this was a MAJOR graphic update patch, and my pc couldnt ahndle it, I would have known, and bought a new pc. This is bad patching and nothing else.

You realise now that your drama is nothing compared to the hungry families of the 10.000 chinese farmers who work for a living spamming channels and and farming DED Complexes? There are hungry children out there who wont eat today, cause CCP shutdown EVE...

We should have an official protest at UN if this goes on much longer.

Why do people see fit to whine about what is essentially a great game (note the word game here and not real life) i would strongly suggest that you look at the equipment you have and the way it is set up before you pass criticism on the work of the dev team.

I run two accounts at the same time and the latest patch has improved the gaming experience on a gaming setup. Anything static is doomed to fail and those of you that seem fit to moan need to have a good look at your outlook, both here and in life. History never built a statue to a critic, so stop moaning about things, learn to adapt.

To CCP - 95% of us appreciate the game and enjoy the game play, the mechanics and the improvements you make, keep up the hard work. Ignore the losers who whine here.

I understand what you're saying but I pay for DT when I want to use the game but cannot.

An apology for inconvienience doesn't do much for me! Showing that I'm a valued paying customer does.

If problems cannot be forseen as you said, then it shouldn't be said it will be back tonight then it's still down 12 hours later. That's what winds people up....people who pay.

Mayb the wrong place to post this but its an idea to relieve Jita a little.

On a technical aspect Jita slows down due to the mass database access at anyone time, this is due to a single core PC arcitecture trying to handle all of the information due to current technology restraints within the language CCP use to write the software.

So why not use a cluster based marker between 3 main hubs.
eg.
Have a main market in each of the main 4 regions hosted on there own nodes, and have the database for those markerts linked in togther, a kinda sql bridge between database systems, this would also mean the market econemy would stabalise to around the same prices within these 4 regions of empire space, meaning traffic to jita would drop by 1/4 as stuff posted in jita would be avalible on another node within the local area if the market databases were shared.
It would also cutdown on a lot of gate traffic between these systems, releaseing even less presure on other nodes that are used to get from region to region.
Some of you may think thats stupid but infact its not, as the market outside the 4 trade points would still be localized so there would still be potential to upsell etc outside of the main markets and with the option of remote sales now being a large part of eve this intergration I feel would balance out the 4 main regions, making the main market economy balanced.

If someone feels this is in the wrong place, please repost for me, thx

ps. its just an idea, dont flame it!

On that Jita idea, does anyone remember how the heck did Jita become a market hub in the first place? Cause if my memory serves me well, it used to be a agent hotspot, then CCP moved the agents all over galaxy, yet players kept coming to Jita and THEY made it a market hub.

Or am I missing something?

First off these down times.. who is gonna compensate the DT times?
Total time of DT's per month is 30 hours.. 1 day and 6 hours out of the 30 day time code gone.. who is going to compensate that?
Now tell us, who is going to compensate our time loss?

Erm... perhaps you should read the CCP EULA here-> http://www.eve-online.com/pnp/eula.asp

Points 12, 13, 14 & 15 relate to your rant. So no your not entitled to any form of compensation. Thats the contract you agreed to so if you don't like you can stop playing EvE and can I have your stuff?

It is easily the most annoying bug to date and seems to be the one CCP are ignoring no matter how many times it comes up, nor how many mentioned it during testing and in bug reports.

Noob Missions ? Get serious CCP !!! Fix Overview Stack Up bug FIRST !!!!

Yes this is true, but moving agents dont mean builder, researchers are going to move there base of operations at the same time.
Although jita has been dramaticly reduced, bar stopping ppl from using the area over a certain amount of ppl in its local at one time something needs to be done and a shared database with another node or 2 could relieve the stress.

I guess Im using this chance to say what I have to say about these patches.
I am fully aware of the downtime now and in the past, I have been very understanding for CCP and I know about the EULA and what we signed up for etc.

I am unemployed at the moment and I was away from Eve for 2 months as my credit cards where canceled, I had to purchase my present Game Time Code with the ISK in my account [which is now only 2 million]. My point is, from 2am-2:25am on patch day and today [for how long I dont know] I and many others can not play Eve.

I am asking CCP could they please not deduct any of my Game Time during these days because I love Eve and simply can not afford to pay for another month as I was hoping to work like hell to pay for another GTC and I only have 17 days [roughly] left on my account.

It would be very rude for any company not to compensate its paying members for the days that the server was down. CCP wants everyone to pay for everything, t-shirts, tv, to change your character name [WTF?], to change the way your player looks [another WTF] etc etc....Seems very 'Money Grabbing' if you ask me...a little bit of customer care would go very far, please add downtime hours/days to our account time please.

Again I have been very patient in the past with CCP and downtime and I do understand the man hours involved in such a thing, but why do we 'the paying customers' have to suffer? Especially people like me, sometimes I cant even afford a bottle of milk for a cuppa tea, it's just not fair at all.

I just don't get why so many people are complaining about time cards and skills and stuff, i mean, it's a couple hours, so what if your char. looses a couple hours skill time, same goes for time cards etc, it's a fraction of the time there is in a month when it comes to account perscriptions, and as for skill training, getting upset over a few hours lost compared to the months and years is laughable.

Okay yes CCP didn't find all the bugs and yes they didn't give great warning, so they may have ****ed up, but adding a patch to something as complex as Eve must be a major task, there's bound to be conflicting programming which can't be found until it goes online etc, and at least CCP actually HAVE noticed the problems and ARE doing their best to fix them instead of burying their heads in the sand or telling players to "deal with it".

Personally i've lost about 50million isk to the patch (which to me is bloody loads), but i'd rather lose an extra couple of hours skilltraining/in-game money/real money and have the game running as bug-free as possible.

What's wrong with 100% CPU ? I love 100% CPU.

I hate it when my CPU is not being fully utilised.

EVE is not an application which needs to co-exist with other programs, EVE is a game and when I run EVE I only run EVE and I want EVE to use 100% CPU.

As reported in our earlier News Item new player missions have been disabled for 24 hours and this hotfix will eliminate the issues with them. We will also be fixing the problem with Civilian Codebreaker/Analyzers and Archaeology.

Please remember to get your character our of harm's way and set a skill long enough to cover the downtime prior to logging off.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

I don't see how EVE can run slow on anyone's PC that has a PC that's more or less up to date... My PC is about two years old now, and it runs quite well. With AA override off I can run two accounts, and with one account I can even set AA override up to Supersampling 16xS... If you experience problems with that, you should think about a new PC...

What bothers me more is that I lost three hours of training with that downtime... It has just been announced far too late. 12 hours is minimum, 11 hours is bad behaviour, less than 10 hours is just effrontery... I demand to reimburse than lost skill time!
