(1) Don't go afk to read the newspaper while journeying into 0.0

(2) Don't forget to check the map for pilots in space, and recent podkills

Follow this simple advice, and you can avoid losing a megathron and four implants while you weren't even watching the screen.

As Baldour said... The post was empty when RagnarH replied Wink

My tip is, always check the map and never jump in using autopilot (aka. auto-uncloak).

I must be lucky or the Gods of Eve have a weird sense of humor as I have no implants.

I afk'd in a pod from Fade back to Empire without a scratch. The only sign to mark my passing was some smack in local whining about how long it takes to lock a pod. Laughing

1. Don't talk to anyone in Local, just the mere flashing of that icon may be enough to envoke wrath on your ass, after all only spies use Local! Shocked

2. Don't answer your fanmail while cruising towards a passage to empire space.

3. Don't even think about opening that 2nd account while undocked, your jumpgate could have been scrapped and empires gone into ruin by the time you're back in action.

If you are new to 0.0 space then a spare pair of undies is also advisable, that's if you wear underwear.

Personally, after my first visit to 0.0 space many many months ago, I find it easier to play sitting in a nappy.

Shocked?Don't ask..?

Dragnok and co, and I've already forgotten the corp's name.

He was good about it when I convo'd him afterwards ... he's one of the type who play the game just because they enjoy blowing stuff up, so he'll kill anyone and everyone. He was even good enough to tell me when they're usually online, so I could make plans to sneak through at other times Cool

5. when someone asks you to leave in local but they aren't near you, say 'o.k sorry' but continue. once you leave local they feel that they've done their job. they never check to make sure you left through the right gate.
