So the other day I used half a day to get my fleet bs down to our 0.0 rally point to aid in the battle in the largest struggle for power yet.
Everything went perfect according to plan and I managed to join up with the fleet. Hours later I've had 1 rapier 2 bs kills behind me and patiently standing by in a pos waiting for my FC to give me an order.
A couple of hours later a hostile titan showed on grid at the pos and since I was inside the shields I wasn't to bothered, rather amused by the sight of a titan.
He dropped his Doomsday and I watched in awe it light up the sky, really amazing, if it hadn't been for the fact that this certain pilot had the pos password feeded into his starbase configuration and therefore able to pop anything smaller than a capital without much effort.
Had I been on the field actively fighting and getting blowned up like this it would be a risc to consider, but getting omg bbq blowned up sitting passively in a pos waiting for orders cracks me up.
Earlier we've seen cynoships forced to be outside shields to cyno in capital ships, so I would like an explanation to why Titans are still able to inflict damage to anything inside a pos.
This is not pvp, it's a slaughter and it's pretty much not reasonable in my opinion. People spend alot of their time standing by in poses surely dont accept being blown up inside it, purpose of a POS is to be able to go AFK for a while sorting RL stuff or just standing by waiting to get an order, so make changes, Thanx. |

Im not sure its 'okay' to go afk anywhere in eve really.... someone will always splat you.
When in the most dangerous system in eve currently with a huge enemy fleet around, if i saw a titan on grid even behind a pos sheild, i would align and run
Sry but i dont see the issue - the titan pilot was given your pw, blame your fcs |

POS provide protection unless someone has the key. Just like the doors to peoples homes.
tip of the day: Don't lose your key.
btw: pos shields are as lame as stationhugging (my oppinion) |

If its that a terrible thing, why didnt you whine about it when your allies did it to your enemies, instead of now when your ship got destroyed? |

Yes, it is awful when people use poor game mechanics to their advantage. My only regret is that you could not inform bob about this when they used it against us. But now when rsf are using it against you we can only hope that someone will contact the devs on msn for a quick fix. |

no dont try to do a u turn now son you were trying to whine at the world in large to get something reviewed in the hope someone would change it. We have had this done to us over and over and accept it as 'part of the game' i advise you to do the same |

Well that might be true, your tears in the op are still delicious. But anyway, I agree. This is some stupid gamemechanics really. Also hactors inside pos is another stupid example of poor gamemechanics. As long as the game is like this everyone needs to use these borderline "exploits". Its like an arms race really, people who don't use them will be the victims of them. Puss och kjam. |

Seems perfectly legit to me, if he has the passwords to the shields he has a way in, you should work on restricting access to the POS instead of blaming the enemy for your sellouts. |

This thread is.. interesting.
Maybe this obvious bug, or let's call it flaw in game mechanics (provided you regard lame game mechanics or metagaming as flaw), should be fixed - after the war. Just to prevent speculations and accusations.
edit: Ok, forgot some arguments. Why obvious? Well it's obvious that you're not supposed to directly harm ships which are inside a POS shield. You can't target them, you can't shoot them. Even if you have the POS password. Thus, the use of a DDD to 'shoot' targets inside a POS shield is a non defined (at least officially) exception of the rule, i.e. a bug.
Why after the war? Kinda solomonic judgement. Imho it's best to wait until the end of the conflict, so both sides had their fair share of it. |

you realize there was nothing wrong in what he did right? Blame your allied alliances' spies for giving him full on access to your safge POS password. |
