Hello,

Well I've been looking around the guides, forums, i've been trying to take looks on different wikis etc, but I just can't seem to find any list of :

where can you find officer modules, the ones that are worth quite a lot, the specific faction modules also, etc. There's probably missions where you get them but I didn't find any list or whatever of where you get them, who you have to hunt for those items, where do you find these officers to kill, etc.

Help would be greatly appreciated :)

thanks.

hey ya,

there are some Officers in deep 0.0 that will drop them... sounds easy... I think they are camped :P

look @ ombeys 2D Maps and then have a look for -1.0 Systems => maybe u'll be lucky to find one

Ok firstly if there was a way to tell where you can find officers no one is going to share it here.Wink

1. They can appear anywhere but without hard data on officer finds, its impossible to tell if they do actually spawn more often in true -1.0 systems, you can find them in NPC 0.0 Regions too (Stain/Venal/Fountain/Curse).

2. They do not appear in missions ever, sometimes in missions you can get a overseer (World's Collide). Also afaik no one has ever had one in a complex.

3. Officer Modified varients of weapons can be found ingame by checking contracts or if you want to look up the stats look at the variations tab on various modules.

4. Its pretty much random luck when it comes to officer spawns, some people will get lucky and find one once every few months then again some people never see one.

Off the top of my head Officer/Faction is:

Guristas = Estamel/Thon/Kaikka/Vepas (Northern Regions - Anywhere Guristas spawn in belts 0.0 only. NPC 0.0 Region is Venal.)

Sansha/Blood = Selynne/Draclira/Chelm/Tairei/Brokara/Vizian (Southern regions - Anywhere Sansha spawn in belts 0.0 Only - Providence/Catch/Esoteria/Paragon Soul.NPC 0.0 Region is Stain. Blood Raider spawn is Querious/Period Basis. NPC 0.0 Region is Delve. Note. This is only partly NPC sov territory the rest belongs to BoB at this time.)

Angel = Mizuro/Gotan/Tobias/Hakim (South East regions - Anywhere Angel spawn in belts 0.0 Only - From Feythabolis/Impass to Cache/Imsomther. NPC 0.0 Region is Curse)

Serpentis = Brynn/Setele/Tuvan/Raysere (Western/North West regions - Cloud Ring/Fade/Outer Ring. NPC 0.0 Region is Fountain. Note. This is like Delve in that its only part NPC sov territory which is known by locals as "the core". The rest is controlled by BRUCE and various other factions.)

Hope that helps.

Camped, HA!

Only gates get camped. Commander spawns come to those who are lucky enough to see their hrs of ratting the same system finally spawn something better than a faction spawn that drops crappy ammo.

The trick to getting them is to constantly kill the rats in a system so they respawn. Eventually one of them will be the estimated 1/25,000 to be a commander.

You can rat a system w/ 25 belts, but you may never see that commander that spawned because they don't move belts they show up and disappear. Systems with 8-11 belts seem to be better since you can run threw them faster.

Where did you get the figure 1/25,000 from?
Unless you have enough people to cover every belt and run the system for a week or so to get data you can't state its 1/25,000.
Or maybe you can point me to a dev post on the subject?

I just made it up for an example. IDK how many it is. But in an area like me you have about 20-30 pilots ratting aound 200 belts. Say every 6 minutes. Only here of a commander every week or so.

20 pilots X 10 belts/hr X 23 hrs/eveday = 4,600 belts cleaned. so i would agree on 1/5000 chance, but probobly more than that.

The key is to get the generate_new_spawn() to kick in as much as possible, and be in a system where you can/will be looking at every belt within a timespan of say 40 minutes.

Again, idk how long it takes them to de-spawn or anything, just trying to help based on exp.

PLease link dev post if you find one.

They are officers. NOT commanders. Commanders are a lot more common and can even be found in highsec.

So one time. In fountain.

A cloaked ship was waiting for its main (who was ratting a few systems over) to come and take out the Cormack that just spawned.

Then a RAZOR gang came and took it out, then left.

Hmmmmm.
