no one will tell you because they will create competition for themselves by sharing this information with you

go and do your own market research - trading is a very solitary profession where you don't expect to get any good advice from fellow traders because you're their competition

It helps to consider where items come from and who might need them to spot oppurtunities. Ships for example are always player made, but might be made by people who can't fly them themselves or can't be bothered to fly a freighter full of them to a trade hub. Most T1 items are looted from missions, and so on.Keep a firm mind where an abundance of items might be caused and where the item might be most in demand and you should do pretty well. Unfortunately i can't give more details as the market is entirely player driven, so what could be a profit oppurtunity today may be an ISK sink tomorrow.

mission runners will always need ammo, and they always want the right type of ammo for the mission they are running so they might be prepared to pay a premium to get it right then and there, so they dont have to delay their next mission.

learn how to use buy / sell orders effectivly, and how to use the market window to look at volumes.

best of luck, and if you do discover something interesting, please tell :)

I just baptised a Corp mate with a trading lesson tonight.

Gave him my best secrets about how I managed to accumalate over 300 million in my first month.

I only did that because he lost his Battle Cruiser trying to defend another Corp mate and was trying to get his next ship by buying and then moving and then selling barges and was only averaging a few million profit per week.

Here I was loging on and making runs in a shuttle and making 10 million in a 1/2 hour.

Nope I won't tell anyone else my secrets. Too much competition out there.

Ha! Ha!

I've got no secrets to give!

But ...

What seems like a good strategy to me is to be aware of the price differences between regions. When you bring the market up - the most it will show you is what the prices are for items within - at most - a single region. So unless they make an effort to do so - most people aren't going to know what something is selling for in any region other than their own.

I always wondered if I could put some of my alts in various regions, then just sit there and check various items to see what the price differentials were. Buy things in one region where they are selling cheaply and then move them to another where they are selling for more.

Of course - you'd need to know which items are selling and which aren't but there's a Market History for that.

But I've never done it ... so who knows how well that would work.

That all just seems like common sense though. The real secret there - would be which regions what items were selling high and low in.

Im a trade alt.
I have some good info witch I can share cause im not playing on this markets anymore. They need a lot of free time and Im to lazy.

You can make loads of money just siting on station 4-4 Jita. You will never need to undock from there.

There so many niche you can play on. I will tell you one of them. The esiest, but its lil bit slow. Time between buy and sell long.

Hardware implants (some of them, around 15 - 25 different units). You can buy them for 6 - 15 millions and sell for 11 - 35 millions.
Just make a reseach and you will see everything.
