I am quite new to this so go easy on me :)
I currently have Frigate to lvl 5 destroyer lvl 1 and spaceship command lvl4.
I own a destroyer which is used to do some lvl1 missions.....
I tried using it on a lvl2 mission and gave up :)
Is it worth getting a T2 Frigate or training up Cruiser and getting a stabber or rupture? Looking at doing lvl2 (maybe lvl3) missions
If worth getting a T2 frigate what should i go for? Or should i just go for the cruiser?
Ive got around 150million isk.
Thanks for your time SpLuFF |

Depends what you want to do with your EVE life really mate, if you want to mine, then you should probably start looking into mining cruisers and barges, if you want to PVP, then start looking into T2 frigs (interceptor is a great tackler) or cruisers, if you want to mission run, then (once again) cruisers are a good bet.
basically i dont think you can go far wrong with a cruiser ;) just make sure your support skills are up to scratch, and if you still cant make up your mind, then learning skills are always a good investment. |

You have (I'm assuming Minmatar) Frigate to level V, Destroyers to level I, no cruiser skill, and you've been using destroyers to do level 2 missions?
Wow, that's...different.
I would not jump straight into T2 ships if I were you. I doubt that you have the support skills to run them properly and if you're only running level 2 missions, you won't have the income to support it. I would absolutely train up your cruiser and battlecruiser skills as they are much better for level 2 and 3 missions. Aim to get yourself into a Rupture or a Hurricane, both make good mission ships. |

thanks mate........ i just tried one lvl2 mission and i completed it (but it took 1 hour) and had to come back and fix my ship around 9 times :) so decided lvl2 was a bit much for my dessy...... I will take your advice and go for cruiser (rupture).... I guess I will need to learn medium projectiles for this ship though? anything else useful for this kind of ship? does it suit a minmtar? |

try getting EFT (eve fitting tool), importing your character and making up a fitting (check this forum for some ideas first), then you can look at what fitting skills you need to actually make it, and by clicking on a module you can see what skills affect its operation, this should get you a nice list of skills to train up, for the most part these are "support skills" like hull upgrades, medium projectile turret, sharpshooter, etc etc. sadly there are other skills you're going to want... energy management, drones, navigation etc. but doing this should get you started. |

Assuming little or no support skills,
Use a cruiser for level2's
Use a battlecruiser for level3's.
Best cruisers for level 2's for minmatar, Rupture and bellicose. |

Get to the point where you feel comfortable flying tech one cruisers/battle cruisers and tech two frigates. Or go for Interdictors if you want to join an alliance/ fight in 0.0. |
