You guys should make sure you're technically read when that PC GAMER hits the stores cause that same weekend you're gonna see a LOT of players registering and logging on. I expect you to break 8000 the following weekend of the mag's release, at least :)

Well it's been interesting to see that the average load mid week has increased quite a bit in the last week (now typically well above 5000 even on "quiet" nights)

This seems to be coincidental with the UK review in PC Gamer, but maybe it's just my imagination...

Will be interesting to see what the numbers are like at the weekend

Yes it was a very nice review:
http://www.eve-online.com/community/reviews.asp

We have quite a lot of servers standing by to add to the cluster if the rate of increase, increases

Just fyi Hellmar... in the last couple of days (maybe since last week) I've had a noticeable increase in what I assume to be latency (client side snap backs to different position) on tranquility.

It's not something I've formally kept an eye on but my perception has certainly been that it's increased a bit. Don't think this was in systems with high player counts either...

Could be my imagination though, but one to watch... :)

Cheers

You mean - situatons like your ship is pushed back few hundred meters ? sometimes less, sometimes more ? I noticed the same (for last 3 days)

hey, i like being a ping-pong ball (table-tennis) and bouncing back & forth.

my ships even know how to do tricks like doing twists, standing straight up on end, they can even do 360 degree flips, with a twist!

up boy up! ;)

I have noted an increase in latency also. It happens in certain systems, rather than everywhere, and appears to not correlate to player population in those systems. i have a sneaking susupicion it's one server node that is running all those systems.

I noticed it in Augnais yesterday (along with someothers whose names I can't recall at the moment).

I may have mistakenly associated that "snap-back" action with the latest patch. I didn't recall ever having seen that before then. I thought it might be related to the client and server syncing up on my current position.

I've even had an occasion, a few patches ago, where I was mining for a while. After a bit, I had noticed that I had stopped recieving ore for an abnormally long time. I had tried some basic trouble-shooting to figure out what was going on, and I decided that restarting the game would be the best thing to do at the time. I restarted, and soon discovered that I was nowhere near the asteroid belt that I was mining just a minute before. Thankfully, my drones were still waiting for me back at the asteroid belt.

That would be nice to see that fixed.

Yeah, I HAVE been noticing some lag lately as well, and you're right, it wasn't relatd to players in system or total players logged on. Hmmm.

Also, which PC GAMER gave it the 90% and the award? The US or the UK?

The latency/rubberbanding was aweful last night. (6/10)

It got to the point that it would rubberband me every 15-20 seconds. Very frustrating.

Didn't notice any more users on than a few days ago, and a few days ago there was no rubberbanding at the level that i saw last night.

Hellmar you should absolutely add the Edge review, 8/10.
Edge is a very big and respected magazine you now :)

Another review you should add is Super Play (a swedish magazine) 9/10.

Playing in Ameinaka, noticing Rubber banding for the last two days, happening all the way out to Syndicate space.
seems that We get more lagging when player numbers go over 5,000...might be time to warm up another Server, keep up the good work, and good luck with the new patch on Friday the 13th.
