I checked the server logs and did not see any hiccups in the graphs. Not to say it didn't happen, but I haven't received any notification of an issue.

Is that just a variation on the classic theme?

I felt a great hiccup in the graphs, as if hundreds of ships suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly warped. I fear something terrible has happened.

Try flying in ONE ship around Dodixie at evening hours (sever time).

I'm kind of getting used to emergency warps while still connected to server.

Suggestion to CCP: try to log more information into your log files.

They can't, the member of staff that set the logs to "read only" has left the company, the others arn't sure on how to reset them back.Embarassed

I love this response...you have this saved to your clip board on all your computers right?

I'm sorry to say it's time for CCP to get some better tools.

Wow, so people moan and whine when there's no response to these threads. . . Then Kieron responds with basically the only thing he can say without lying and gets slated.

Hold on there. Are you insinuating that it would be a lie if he said something like: we will be looking further into it and try to fix these problems as soon as possible?

I mean way to motivate CCP to look into the issue further, flame their posts when they simply state that their graph showed nothing.

If CCP needs to be motivated to look into the issue further despite the petition and the OP, something's wrong.

[...] And I'm not even fanboi-defending CCP here either.

Yes you are. And you are giving the impression that all's fine and bug fixes are not necessary unless CCP representatives on the forums are treated especially nice.

Ok, Mr Lazuran of "Time and Isk Sink Corporation", I take what you have to say seriously. . . I really do Rolling Eyes

Anyways. . . CCP staff should do their job whether some forum-idiots troll mindlessly or not. I'm just pointing out that if you have the interests of yourself and the game at in mind then you post constructively and try to work with CCP and if you're a stupid troll who just wants to cause a stir for no good reason then you post like most of the people in this thread.

I'm getting CTD regularly it seems (using the Linux client). Doesn't seem to matter if it's windowed mode or not, and it usually happens when changing state (undocking or jumping).

Not sure if it's related and I don't know exactly how to log/debug it myself. Whenever I try to capture logs, they end up being hundreds of mb large to the extent that I can't send them to CCP well.

I've got a bug report in, but I need to get into a more helpful forum (problems and workarounds?) and request suggestions on how to debug their software better. Someday. When I feel like sitting down to debug their game instead of investing my limited free time actually playing a game.

Have you checked to make sure your video card is supported? I filed a bunch of bug reports for the Mac client and it turns out the vast majority were because my video card isn't supported, so that may be part of the problem.

I'm fairly positive my video card is supported (GeForce 7600 GS). They don't list this one specifically, but it is included in the "6xxx or later" statement.

I need to sit down and run dxdiag and logserv (just noticed that I have a reply to my bug report), but I haven't had time. And I just found out that my fiance is moving into my apartment right now (apparently, the dorm lost her paperwork and therefore decided to kick her out today >.<), so I may not be able to do much until next week.

Thanks for the suggestion, though!

sounds just like the responses to my petitions for lost ships :s

Maybe you should stop petitioning every loss to make up for your lack of PVP skills?
