I've been running missions in a Dominix for a while. The tank is forgiving, the ship handles nicely, and the defense I manage to put up is quite formidable, allowing me to bulldoze through most level 4 missions with ease if I even remotely pay attention to what I'm doing. The problem is time: despite using maxed-out T2 drones, it takes me upwards of an hour to get through one of the lesser missions.
For a while, I've been hearing praise from the Raven: less tank, but more damage - with proper fittings, I was told a Raven could eat an NPC battleship in just a few volleys. The reduced tank doesn't matter since the rats don't live long enough to get through it.
I do not really care about skilling time - it'll be as long as it'll be. The only thing I want to know is if flying a properly skilled Raven will allow me to get through missions in a significantly more efficient manner than a Dominix. |

well, with half decent skills, you plow through for example angel extravaganza in something like 1h 15mins (maybe 15-20 mins more if you do the bonus (without counting the time it takes to kill the battle station))
with pretty much max skills and insane fittings, you could plow through that mission in like 35-40 mins ;) |
