To differ from the omnipresent nerf threads i thought i might as well cry for a buff :p

faction frigs at the moment are used very rarely especially for pvp though their average price is low enough to loose them in combat from time to time. The only ones i know of that are being used occasionaly are the daredevil as ewar platform /inty with some ewar or the cruor as long range webber. Both will be obsolete with the introduction of ewar frigs which most likely will be cheaper and much easier to acquire.
The succubus simply lacks damage potential even after the sansha buff, worm is just a toy for missile spamming, the dramiel is basically ok but suffers from lack of mids.
I'd basically be very happy if all of those would receive some kind of speedbuff to make them viable without having to put 150m in rigs into them :p
That wouldn't overpower them as inties would still be faster but would allow them to be flown more regularly. What good is the nicest ship design if it only collects dust in some rich people's hangars?

thx for reading and flame on plz :)

Signed ten fricking times, too!

Most faction frigs suffer either from being hard to fit, having absurdly stupid highslot split weapon systems, and general suckyness. Considering they're not nearly so cheap, they might as well get some improvements to make them markedly superior to T1 frigs.

Cruor for one lacks midslots, and NOS bonus is lol.
Dramiel has horribly split weapon systems and suffers from lack of mids.
Daredevil is OK, but a bit hard to fit - don't have experience with the ship.
I won't even get into the succubus, it's a toy ship.

The navy frigs need loving as well.

Faction ships are supposed to be like named modules. Between T1 and T2, so you can't go boosting them better than T2.
I will agree that some faction ships are somewhat broken, but CCP are doing things to them, Nightmare for example.

If you make them too good then they become very expensive and unseen in pvp. Swings and roundabouts really.

Problem is, faction frigs haven't been touched in ages, and with the modules' CPU requirements going up on a regular basis, some are right now a nightmare to fit in any sensible way.

Most faction cruisers are basically poor man's HACs right now and significantly superior then T1 (and weaker then HACs) but have a price tag in between T1 and T2.

Most faction frigates are barely superior (and some inferior) to T1 frigates (and vastly weaker then T2 frigates), but have a price tag preety much double a T2 frig.

They are allready expensive and unseen in pvp...

For example, pirate faction frigs have never been under 70 million. Call that cheap when taking in account their fragillity and lack of a role.

I was talking about the frigs for a reason, faction bs generally are expensive but fine (if you exclude the bhaalgorn :p) but the frigs simply aren't worth it. Since the introduction of lp stores their price is climbing as there are better things to trade your lps for and they are only marginally better then most t1 frigs, some even outclassed by em. With every boost to t2 frigs they also become less desirable. After the inty boost hits tq you'll need to invest half a billion in fittings and still be inferior to a normal t2 fitted inty in every aspect.

their supposed to be rare pimpmobiles not commonly used combat toys.

and yer fitting them with t2 modules usually means your gonn run out of pgrid/cpu very fast, think your meant to use faction gear on the faction ships tbh.

Only cruors are that expensive and that's only because blood agents suck. You can pick up most of them for 8-15m which is pretty reasonable for what they are.

Super /signed.

Sorry, but gotta agree here. Faction ships in general should get a re auditing with the massive changes that have happened since their inception, faction frigs most of all.

and while you're at it, boost faction ships entirely.

Not just the pirate ones, all of them.

Make them better or make them cheaper.

Either way they'll get used as space ships, not just hangar ornaments.

All the faction pirat ships need some rework.
And i would love 2 more turret slots for the "new" nightmare to make it the ueber laserboat it should be. Razz
