AND DEFIDENTLY DONT TRANSPORT THEM IN FREAKING INDUSTRIALS OF ALL THINGS.

There seems to be an awful amount of humor about this topic I found elsewhere. Is this mineral dangerous to ships? Or can industrials not handle them or?

Its dangerous in that any pirate who gets a scan of your cargo will take a shot at blowing you up and stealing that ore. Its quite valuable. And indys are so slow and mostly defenseless even a noob pirate has a pretty good chance of scoring that loot.

No, the only dangerous thing about these minerals is that they're highly-valued. If what the rumours say are true, then some guy (a CA corp member I think) was transporting ~150k of Megacyte and a lot of other precious minerals in his indy through 0.0 space... WITHOUT AN ESCORT! Someone destroyed him and looted his mins.

So no, the minerals aren't naturally volatile but they can cause other people to be.

tbh thats his own mistake that got him killed.

when running precious stuff about i tend to put as many AB's on my cruiser as possible with the larges cargo expanders i can afford. usualy if its anything like minerals for me then its not gonig to fill up that much space anyway let alone an indys worth. if push comes to shove you could ask a Corp member to move it for you if they have a better kit :)
