I have a question regarding Chondrite (The ore you have to mine for Making mountains out of molehills 1/10). Why do we have to mine Chondrite? Why not Veldspar or something redily found and useful? Too many times I have seen in the rookie help channel "Where do i find chondrite?" or "How do i mine chondrite?" I can understand that they need to mine something but why not Veldspar? Chondrite refines to Chalcoprite which is used in absolutely NOTHING! Chondrite is also not found in regular asteroid belts so if the newbie doesnt do the mission before downtime he is essientially screwed. This needs to be fixed somehow. I have two ideas on how to fix this. They are as follows:

Make chondrite a low yield version of veldspar and make it available in asteroid belts in any sec system. This would make it at least have some use for the left over ore from the mission.

Replace chondrite with veldspar and make the mission about aqquiring veldspar. This would again make the left overs from the mission useful.

Feel free to add other ideas for fixing the chondrite problem because I feel it makes newbies confused and not like the game. Hopefully the devs will fix this issue or at least give me a reason as to why they made chondrite, a totally useless ore, in the first place.

Told you it was a long post

Long? I've seen whole essays on these forums.

can understand the problem, but probably a good reason for it, like getting the newbies used to some mecahnic, or to avoid exploitation
