The story (in brief)

I booked a trip in June for fanfest.
6 days ago, I recieved an email that one of my flights was changed...to a time I CANNOT make.
using the companies website, I set a simple message outlining my problem, with possible flight substitutions listed.
I recieved no response for 5 days.
I called their customer service hotline...spent 2-1/2 hours on hold between 2 calls..didn't talk to anybody useful.
Sent a message via their site, stating their previous lack of response, and lack of phone service..polite but slightly aggrivated.
Still no response.
I call again today, after 26 minutes on hold, manged to get a human being...who was useless, and 'transferred' me to the proper department.

I wound up sending this message

I have now been on hold for an additional 47 f*cking minutes..after being on hold for over 2-1/2 hours last f*cking night over the course of two f*cking phone calls.

Yesterday you got my, "I'm annoyed, but hope we can solve this" message. This is my I am extermely f*cking angry and hope all you c*cksuckers catch syphilis and die slowly and in great pain message.

If I have to go through this again tomorrow...I'm going to get somewhat less polite.

Now either hire some fu*king useful phone employees, or teach someone to read, and answer the original message I sent regarding my issue SIX F*CKING DAYS AGO!!

then I wound up sending this:

I have now been on hold for 2 hrs and 40 minutes without any human contact....train your monkeys to pick up the ****ing phone.

the intenet is a wonderful place though...makes it easy to tell all my friends...and random strangers I share forums with...how lovely your service is.


Did I go to far, or should I have been less harsh to expedia.ca?

Ok quick question, are you in the UK? If so are you calling an 0870 or 0845 number which costs quite a bit. If so I can get hold of the freephone numbers for you.

Good for you mate I feel you should have been much harsher. I Work for a Hotel (not motel there is a difference) and I seriously hate Pr***line, Ex**dia,and Tra***osity with a passion its companies like those who are hurtting the traveling industry.

Not to mention giving false pretents and expectation to the customers and then screwing them over.

Can I have thier stuff if they go belly up?

Look closely at the fine print. They can most likely change the flight without your approval.
However, in those situations I call my bank and cancel charges made by them because they cannot provide proper services. They will call you soon enough.
PS keep a record of time and date of every phone call and e-mail you have sent them.
