Revan Neferis is one of the most important and unique cult leaders of the greater part of the past years. Her Bloodveil cult is widely anthologized as both divine and heretic, and seems to rest on the point of the pendulum, the slash between heaven and hell. On one hand, her ways is densely ritualistic based on a concrete world of conquests, power and absolute control. On the other hand, they exhibit an almost hypnotically linguistic journey that is tantalizing, fragmentary, and addictive. Her sermons are fantastical and yet, in a way, seem to transcend the realm of dreams. Following a Ďlogic-of-the-absurd,í they present a disjointed phantasmagoric and maniacal impulse. This gesture of absurdity draws on the unconscious mind in order to awake, as well as to unsettle what it is that makes us most human: our blunders, our paranoia, our fears, our joys, our loves, our (false) certainties, and our confusions.

A friend of mine who first served Revan at her early stages stated ďHere's a sample of what the most insane person in the whole Universe has been thinking about in the last years.Ē Having served Revan over the past year though, I can confidently say that she is actually quite sane and wonderfully intelligent in scary ways. But, still, there is something to this assessment. Revanís sermons, protocols and diary certainly do exhibit a kind of insanity that demonstrates her keen interest in the human mind, human experience, and ways to break it all. To understand or at least create a relationship with her mind is, in some ways, to understand what is unstable, irrational, and illogical about human consciousness, thought, and behavior.

Revan's surrealism is not merely adjectival, figurative, or symbolic, and it is Ďcompleteí insofar as the entire Bloodveil cult she runs is a spectacle and Universe where anything is possible. If a preverbal state does exist, a ďsuperior realityĒ, then Revan propels her pupils ever so close to that place. Like an abstract expressionist (qua surrealist) painter with brush and canvas distorting reality in order to embody feeling and better represent life experience, Revan re-creates and re-presents a universe like a textual magician. The result is sometimes hysterically addictive as well as horrifying.

My own experience started many months ago.
She sat down at a table at La Maison de tous les plaisirs and ordered wine. She made small talk while she waited for the beverage. I approached her table, asked to sit down. Revan suddenly seized my hand and stared into my eyes. She was channeling so much mental command through that gaze that, after a moment, I felt as if I no longer had a will of my own. I felt so strange and giddy.

I didnít know when it started. But I know how it ends.
Revan NEVER acts like a normal human being. Every word she utters comes from ancient techniques of mind control. From a range of Psychic Seduction to verbal acrobatics, occult energy control methods, subliminal influence.
During this time inside Bloodveil, Iíve seen it all: I watched as, she as perfect strangers fall into a deep state of enthrallment just with her mere presence. Iíve seen her penetrating the minds of others and unleash charisma so potent and long lasting that becomes an addiction.
I have reached a point where Iím not sure of who I am or where to go. At several occasions I thought to leave and run but as soon as I take the road there is an immense pain inside my chest, the addiction to her world. Everything outside is less bright and less colorful.
Iím no longer the same person as before. Something different controls me. I donít want to do something, but I do it. Or I want to do something, and yet I donít do it...in the end I think of nothing more than doing what my Sovereign wants. If I obeyed I always felt more at ease. Within me I know this is more freedom then I could ever experience and yet a contrast to it.

Bloodveil now is closed doors to new pupils. For how long, no one really knows. The Sovereignís mind and desires are always veiled from us. But by seeing everyday so many new pilots coming to the Temple in desire to see what it is to be within, I thought to write these words from my own experiences and maybe it will serve for future aspirants.

Blood veil is a life change experience. If you embrace it fully, it will consume you and transform you in a new being. It wonít happen right at the start. You will be ignored, you will cry and you will have moments of intense solitude and doubts. Her silence is as cold as the marble halls of the Temple itself.
She will test you and she will observe.
But one day, youíll meet her inside the Temple dressed in crimson robes and she will speak.
That day you will know that everything you ever dreamt or ever feared, is true.

I'll finish giving thanks to my translator, without him this text wouldn't be possible. And with the words of the Sovereign herself one of these days inside the temple:

Revan Neferis > Bloodveil is one of the ways of life one naturally falls into without even noticing it. A God doesn't think of itself as a God. It just happens to be a God without having to think about it.

I was a director of her industrial operations. I've lost all my roles and I was allowed to stay as an initiate, the first degree inside the order.
This is a huge downfall but one price I accepted to pay as I couldn't see myself living outside.

An initiate? That is reserved for Amarr only Keerie. At least to my recollection.

It seems that Revan has made some considerable changes since my departure from the Veil. Some that I do not approve of. However, since the Veil is no longer part of the partnership with the Dark Seraph and Ebon Seraph it truly matters little to me.

For you it is obvious that you will serve in your perception of heaven. As I look back to the days I served with the Veil, I have realized that for me it is to rule in Hell.

I wish you well in your servitude.

Words of someone that realizes she wanted more then she would ever be given. But Casserina, you were ages far behind Revan on this one.

I think I can show you something here from your first week at bloodveil:

Revan Neferis > humm no I speak about the ships
Keerie Jeanmot > No, about the new woman
Jahandar > Casserina is her name Lady Revan
Revan Neferis > Ah yes, of course I know. Yes, she is new I have accepted her inside.
Keerie Jeanmot > For what?
Jahandar > Do you want me to interview her Ladyship?
Revan Neferis > No need. I know her kind just with a glimpse. She's just seeking some "fame spot". Give her no attention, no acess to hangars and no information whatsoever. She will remain ins
Revan Neferis > inside just as long as she can be " seen" at IGS. * smiles* we know the kind.
Jahandar > Far too well my Lady. So how about we give her some fancy Title and keep her speaking , some use for us.
Revan Neferis > Yes just that. She is the kind that needs to feel "important" somehow, soon enough when she finds out she won't be given any role here she will move on to some worthless
Revan Neferis > place where she can at least continue to voice. Let her speak as long as she is here Prince, at least she irritates the PIE people. And after a while, if she doesn't leave with
Revan Neferis > her own feet find an excuse to send her away. Last thing we need is another new face wanting to get advantage of the work of others.
Jahandar > It shall be done my Lady *bows*

I would call this almost prophetic.
I wish you well in your servitude too Casserina.

I hope this thread won't become the personal discussion between two people because there is interesting points from the original post.

Keerie Jeanmot I have two questions, first why my application was denied? I have sent a full letter explaining that I'm a new pilot but my father is a well known pilot and I'd be joining with his blessings.

My other question is about these:

Greetings Mr. Nadar

About your request to enter the temple, it was rejected because Bloodveil is not accepting new probationers at this moment. I'll personally inform you when we'll be making new initiations.

My regards

To Keerie and the ex bloodveil, I find it of terrible taste that you both lift private discussions at public places.
The reasons why each of you are / were inside the temple are your own only. But I have voiced this already elsewhere and won't waste more vocabulary with personal silly disputes.

On political terms, let it be known that issues with Dark Seraph began long ago since they first accepted minmatars within their ranks at 2006.10.13 23:16.
I would advice new pupils of both organizations to not try to issue their opinions based on lack of substantial information.
Reisha Nafina and myself are perfectly able to know, discuss and assume our differences without interference of minors.

I am thankful that my experience of her wasn't the same as yours, Mr. Jeanmot.

I recall the very first time, inching up to almost two years ago now, that I experienced her. She was a kind and helpful lady who appeared to have a lot of respect among the latest influx of Aegis Militia recruits, of which I was one.

I recall one incident where some of the older paramilitaries took us to take out an infection of drones with them. Both mine and another recruit's punishers got blown up in one of the deadspace pockets. Afterwards, I believe it was her who gave us both 1 million ISK each to replace our losses.

I recall this so well because I remember returning to the piloting business 9 months later to find that what was now a dire enemy had been set to positive standings in my ships computer, and I remembered why.

Quote:
Revan Neferis > humm no I speak about the ships
Keerie Jeanmot > No, about the new woman
Jahandar > Casserina is her name Lady Revan

Revan Neferis > her own feet find an excuse to send her away. Last thing we need is another new face wanting to get advantage of the work of others.
Jahandar > It shall be done my Lady *bows*

And if I also recall correctly, this was what *they* in Aegis Militia told me had been the reason for Revan's own rebellion against them.

Dark Seraph will not be brought further into this discussion. Also, I would like to direct your attention to my office on the Dark Seraph forum on this matter.

Dark Seraph will not publicly hold congress with Bloodveil at this time, be well.

In showing this what did you hope to prove?

To me it is nothing more than a footnote. I am looking forward now.

But I thank you for your unique insight. It is always an education to be sure.
