How about,

YOU dont know the dynamics of this game to "assume" this is my main. Dont give me age talk and how long you've been around. I gont give a flying **** about how flaky and scaly your ass is.

If anything, you pick on the people who work hard for their missions blow them up and call us we dont know how to play the game ? we're ****ing flying about with billions worth of modules we earn solo playing with all our hopes for the game and never disturb others or talk to them.

Why be a jerk to us and not to the people who dont give a **** about other peoples efforts.

People are trying to explain the game to you and all you are doing is being abusive in response, you are obviously a newbie or you would have been used to the pvp aspect of the game by now, some of the people replying to you have years of eve experiance and they are trying to help you, why not listen and learn instead of throwing abuse at them..

Even better get into a good corporation and get training and advice on how to defend yourself and avoid the scams, CCP aren't going to wreck the game for 200,000 subscribers just because you don't like pvp...

Theres a major differance between eve and other mmo's ..

other mmo's try to make you feel special, they tell you that you are a hero and attempt to make you feel good about yourself..., eve.. kicks you and beats you and asks you.. 'what makes you special, what makes you better than everyone else ?..' prove that you are better than other players..

Unlike other mmo's if you are successful in eve it's not because the game is holding your hand, it's because you've earned it, it's because you ARE better than others..

and the day CCP change that, is the day i quit..

i feel your pain, and all that.

but, what in earth would you have done with the billions anyway?

If you only do solo NPC missions , a basic drake/raven will do. No need to ever by a new ship.

unless you get blown up by meanies.

I mean, that ISK is useless, if you don't spend it ever.

its like when your computer breaks up, you get a reason to upgrade.

in eve you can upgrade ships, attitudes, strategies, corps, friends and what not.

you can basically do all missions after 6 months or less of play.

the third "run these smokes to that system" level 1 mission in a row confirmed me to never ever to do missions again.

haven't regret that decision.

CCP, today you have lost 6 people from your subscription list. Not because of how dynamic your game is, but because the people who like to play your game as a hobby are the victims of your own failure to make high sector a secure environment for players.

The more people get ganked in high sec. The more they'll quit.

multiplayer.

If you don't like what other people do and don't want to even talk to other people find a different game.

What even drew you to eve in the first place is what I'm wondering?

blah blah all you want but it is CCP's problem because the more people pirate in high sec, probability of them quitting is 90% more.

every person lost is 14$ out of ccp's pocket.

So its not an ingame thing you can boast about not being 100% secure about, its the reputation your games gonna get for

a. losing the people who love the game.
b. turning the people who love the game against them.
c. ruining friendships between the people who play the game irl.

And at one point, because you have such a "hardcore" game, you're going to realise, you're the one sitting at the desk wasting your life away taking away people's hard earned work, only to sell your character after a few years on ebay for a few 100$ which you havnt earned.

in other words, you're scum in game and you're scum irl.

yep, each and every ganker is scum irl. waa waa all you want.

You are failing to understand one fundamental issue, friend. If they "made" hi-sec the perfectly "safe" place you want it to be they'd lose far more subscribers who actually play this game because they enjoy things like empire wars, merc work, etc, etc, etc.

Perhaps this is just the wrong game for you. Its possible. There are plenty of good games out there with no, or optional pvp content. This game, by design has unrestricted pvp.

Let me lastly leave you with an EvE-O dev quote, Wrangler to be specific:

Quote:

well like someone before me has said, High sec isnt 100% safe, its only 90% safe, if you run around and do something stupid like takeing that basic miner from that can, your going to get shot at.

Ganked in high sec isnt really a problem, infact, earlier today i was running around high sec with a freighter with 100m in pyerite in my hold, a battleship and some other stuff, not ganked yet.

And about a week ago i took an interceptor to Jita to pick up a t2 bpo, its not that bad.

Umm... again, if getting ganked ruins EVE for you, this was never the game for you in the first place.

And to answer your question, the designers and developers of this game gave me the "right" to gank you anytime and anyplace as long as I am able.

You're not meant to be immune to being killed when in high-sec. It's just MORE secure than low sec.

There is no safe place in eve. There are the less secure systems, and the more secure - but there are no 100% secure systems.

so do you just sit tight and say nothing when youve lost everything youve worked for ingame without even aggroing anyone or harassing anyone or doing anything wrong ?

Am I supposed to laugh that I lost months of hard nightless effort without any intention of pvping anyone.

Just leave high sec mission runners alone, they're not interetested.

No when you have lost everything you have ingame you start working to get it all back.......big vicious cycle.

Why not laugh.....I do every single time I get blown up.

As for leaving high-sec mission runners alone........hell no. You guys got the good stuff that needs to be liberated from your stingy hands.

Lastly......go whine somewhere else. My only regret is I didnt get the chance to shoot you down.......oh the hate mail and tells.....would have been music to my ears.

a) its a game, get over it...

b) its a game, get over it...

c) If you want to be left alone and play the game your own way there are two things to do:
- never undock and chat randomly with people in local, oh wait no you can`t, you want to be left alone...
- Unsubscribe EvE, lock your door, unhook the telephone, find a deck of cards and play solitaire.

If you cannot play the game without accepting the way it works you might as well go away and leave those of us who want to play alone... (btw, can I have your stuff when you quit?)

d) its a game, get over it FFS!!!!!!!!!!

6 players quit? even better

congrats to the high sec gankers who did this, well done.

In this game it does not matter what you intend or don't. There is no "pvp flag" to switch on and off. When you undock from a station, someone can shoot at you.

If they shoot you at a station or a gate in empire (low or hi-sec) they've got to tank sentry guns to do so. If they attack you in hi-sec, they do so knowing that they will lose their ship to concord.

They can, however, war dec your corp, then you are a free target anywhere.

So when choosing to engage your ship, the people who ganked you accepted the consequences.

For your part, you are playing a game, that you should KNOW allows for people to pvp you anywhere. You say you've been in game months? How could you have missed all the fighting, ganking, suiciding, etc that goes on everywhere in empire?

So why are you complaining now? You lost something valuable to you, in game? It happens to all of us. The best that you can do is minimize the risks to yourself, but from how upset you are its clear that you didn't do that.

Just suck it up, and get back to work. That's how this game works. If you are really incapable of doing that, then its really time to leave eve because what you are complaining about is not going to be changed in any meaningful way.

As many people have said i can only repeat:

(1) Multiplayer game.
(2) hi sec space, not "safe from everything" space.
(3) Transport ships, not using autopilot and so on, your fault.

Im really interested to know what you lost, could you link us to the killmail or post edited highlights here for our viewing pleasure.

A final question, and this is just in case any CCP do get to reading this thread:
When 0.0 is boring POS crap and low sec is an empty wasteland what is the logical conclusion?

Desolacer:

Its not CCP's fault that your too dumb to realize you need to haul high end items in TANKED ships [ I use a Sleipnir ].

Its not CCP's fault that a player on their servers decided to commit a criminal act in "Secure" space, resulting in the loss of your work.

This game has CONSEQUENCES, each player can do as HE/SHE CHOOSES. CCP merely provides us with a lovely graphical game that comes with risk/consequence.
