Just wondering why anyone bothers to do this series of missions...

Takes ages, npc's have no bounties, loot is as much of a mixed bag as any other lvl4, lp reward is no higher than many other missions...

What's the point? Is there something I'm failing to grasp?

[oh and "fun" is not an acceptable answer]

So that you can get the tags.

Ok now there's a reason; any idea of the value of an average amount of tags garnered from the series?

Don't bother to post again.

Tags = epic win.

Before the LP store I rejected EA all the time too, but now I beg my agents for it :p

Also, subjectively, I think the salvage is significantly better on Navy ships (of all races) than pirate ones, but I may be wrong.

No idea. What I do know is that every faction navy has buy orders for the opposing factions' tags. And that they are needed for LP store offers - so some players have buy orders that are higher than the faction navies will pay.

Enemies abound is one of the best lvl4's to do. Part 5 makes a absolute fortune in tags, loot and salvage. Something like 70-100mil in part 5 of that mission for everything.

Did they change part 5? It used to be only like 20 mil in tags and maybe 5-10 in loot. And killing the stargate took so long that I started declining it due to ****ty isk/time...

I found part 3 to be most profitable, though with the new buffed NPCs in there now it is diminished somewhat.

With the inflated prices for some of the tags now, it could be worth quite a bit more now.

Is there a Gallente/Minmatar version of this mission? Or can you only get it if you run for the Caldari?

Dunno about gallente but minmatars have their version of it. You fight caldary and amarr on that and it has also multiple parts if I remeber correct. Same for Amarr just have to fight minmatar/gallente in it.

edit: A bit confucing wording on my part. I would like to add that no, it's not called enemies abound. It's different mission just has multiple parts and you fight opposing navies.

Inflated prices? The common tags you get from enemies abound don't have inflated prices at all in Jita...

I made a crapload off this, and always rejected part 5 (it's been bugged the twice I've done it - all the spawns came in at once. Not fun.) I used to hoard my tags like nothing on earth, but I think it was around 70mil in tags for the first 4 parts. As someone else said, the salvage always makes up alot too.

Depends on your market. In some stations, the prices for "useful" tags are quite a bit more than the Navy offers. Jita is not the only market in the game.

So, is In the Midst of Deadspace the Gallente version of this mission? I've been running that one the past couple of days (not much Eve time unfortunately).
