Not sure about the Bhaalgorn, but the Curse bonus sets also includes the Neutralizers as well as the Nos. So a mixed rack of the two will still be somewhat effective, or a neutralizer setup. Especially in a nano-curse that would have no cap useage other than the neuts. Yes it's still a nerf, and fitting will be a pain, but it's still going to be useful. (Was it CPU or Grid that the curse was short of anyways? I don't fly them.)

MWD will still use cap.

I'm going to assume that ;) at the end of your 'statement' is a play at sarcasm.. Amarr Recons are just as effective after the 'nos nerf' as before.. Your just going to have to think up a different fit and target selection ROE than the all nos in the highs and kill cap in 2 cycles fits.. I've got mine all figured out do *you*? Wink

Yeh well I have been hearing that alot lately without any actual reason why that is the case. Or was that sarcasm, so hard to read sarcasm.

Those of you who think that fitting neutralizers along with nos on a curse or pilgrim is a good idea...

You need to go back and read how nosferatu changes work.

Neutralizer suck both caps. Nos suck when yours is lower. Why not?

Because while you neut him he loses more cap than you (because of the bonus), so for ships with similar cap to yours, and for close cap consumption for the two ships, your neut effectively prevents your nos from sucking him.

I think that's what he meant, at least.

So bleed yourself dry for a while. There is always a way.

What it might well effect are active tanks, if fewer ships use nos (and lets be honest an awful lot do) then active tanks become a far more appealing option.

Im not sure about the impact vs the amarr recons. A neut Curse certainly has the capability to be pretty vicous (especially if the target has dropped its nos slots in favour of guns - which might well happen). It will probably take a while for these changes to have a noticable impact however.

Well,,, miho it only affects the choice between active and passive tanking (yes,, u guessed right, i'm a shielder) as it allmost negates all the benefits of a passive tank.

Except from that, i'd say it doesn't affect that much, though i'll sure miss the "power overwhelming"-effect of 'em Rolling Eyes.

I have to agree the amarr recons get hit with the nerf-bat, but excluding those and the blood raider ships, the nos nerf is in general good for amarr, in my opinion. With the high cap drain from lasers, most of the time you'll find that you have less cap than your target, and if you have more, you probably dont need the nos anyway. (or you just turn on some armor reps to drain him even more)

reconnaissance (n.) the act of reconnoitring (especially to gain information about an enemy or potential enemy)

Therefore recon ships are not intended for offensive assaults. They are covert information gatherers with more defensive capability than a Covops. They would have been better named as Covert Cruisers.

As for the Nos Nerf, it has hit Amarr quite hard since high cap drain from energy weapons and armor tank is a problem. The NOS was an alternative method of recovering enough cap to survive without gimping setups with large quantities of Cap rechargers. Even the cap booster was silly since the charges took up vast amounts of cargo space and only allowed a few more seconds before the drain killed your weapons. Not enough now that the engagements have been tweaked to last a lot longer.
