Not sure if this has been fixed or not, but on version 2.5 armor compensation skills on passive modules for armor dont stack the right way. Other than that, great program :)

Bug report:

It seems that Electronic Superiority Warfare Links make Sensor Dampener and Tracking Disruptor effectiveness worse rather than better.

Bug report (v2.5.2):

Onyx - Heavy Interdictor is not correct ship parametrs:

Shield Resistance ship in game:
EM: 0%, Explosive: 50%, Kinetic: 70%, Thermal: 80%
Shield Resistance ship in EFT:
EM: 25%, Explosive: 62,5%, Kinetic: 77,5%, Thermal: 85%

Armor Resistance ship in game:
Thermal: 86,25%
Armor Resistance ship in EFT:
Thermal: 86,3%

And program does not consider a Caldari Cruiser Skill Bonus - 5% bonus to shield resistances per level

Considering you can only fly it with caldari cruiser V don't those 2 problems cancel each other out for simplicity's sake?

No - so the ship has Shield Resistance Thermal: 80 %, at Caldari Cruiser Skill V bonus on shield risistance should be on 25 % more, in EFT we see only 85% - this is not 25% bonus.

What I would like to see is feedback after hitting the import character button, and some info on when the last character import took place.

Same for prices, how do I know when it last downloaded them?

Some kind of status screen showing the last download (Both character and price) attempt results, a log file, or anything would be great.

it IS 25% per .. it's the 25% of the remaining 20% to 100% - that's the way resistance add up in EVE.

Open fleet command ship in one setups window. Open battleship setup in the other and click "Gang bonuses" in battleship setup window. Right click on any commander position and in "Bonuses from ship" submenu select the opened command ship setup.

You can see the time since last price update in item info window.

Hm, the transparency of the icons in the fitting windows still don't display correctly. And the lasers can load mining crystals, if I remember correctly.

Find an error.
Eve Fitting Tools doesn't recognize perfectly the skill required for mining crystal.
(example: Omber mining Crystal I)

It takes the "warpCapacitorNeed" stat of the ship, multiplied by the mass of the ship. This gives you cap consumed per AU warped.

So.. Distance = <cap_capacity> / (<mass> * <warpcapneed> * (1 - (0.1 * <warpdriveop_skill>)))

Might be useful to display the cap/AU stat as well.

EDIT: Nevermind. It still says connection failed but SOMEHOW it actually loaded my character. It certainly seems as though this thing will save me some isk as I can figure things out w/o BUYING it first, awesome Very Happy

I cant get the damn thing to connect to my info. I enter the info from the API screen, user ID, whole nine yards. It says connection failed, then the "choose character to load skills from" comes up, i select Asa Tru, hit ok, then it says connection failed again.

80% - base risistаnce, 25% from 80% = 80/100*25=20%. Result resistance = 80+20=100% or I not right?

Im still having the problem where the bonus's are not adding up on the assault frigates, can anyone hand me a fix or is it some problem that only im having, my corp mates are telling me its working fine :'( and its such a great program.

No, it's free. The dubious download sites that Gripen appears to be using now might be misleading.

"Resistance bonuses" in EVE are actually permittance reduction bonuses. That means that with 80% resistance you have 20% permittance, and any "resistance bonus" reduces that by the given amount. A 5% "resistance bonus" over 5 levels reduces your remaining permittance by 5*5% = 25%, and 25% of 20% are 5% which are deducted from said 20%. This results in 15% permittance left at level V, and this value subtracted from 100% permittance which you would have with no resistance at all gives the 85% "resistance" which EFT shows you. Also, because of this way of calculating bonuses, you can never reach 100% resistance.

That said, once again this is a fake T2 bonus the same way as the AFs have them, and for which someone at CCP should be poked with the pointy end of an Enyo.

Any chance that you can add a feature that shows effect of EW?

Example 1: x% range and tracking spd when using one or more tracking disruptors. Same just with sensor damps.

Example 2: % chance to jam a target of your choosing with ECM and ECM drones. Kinda like Quickfits feature where you can chose a fitted or unfitted ship(player) and see the effects/% chance to jam(frig, cruiser, BS, HAC and so on).

These are just a few examples of what i mean. If there is already are such features in the program, can anyone point me to where they are?

To top it off with: Awesome program, would just be awesome with a feature such as i descibed :)

Open a window for the target ship, click "Projected effects" at the bottom. Then open the EW ship and drag the EW modules into the effects "tray" that has appeared in the target ship's window.

Skills are not being applied properly. I have duplicated my current setup in EVE, and the shield resists are much lower than then "real" ones in EVE. Although this won't affect what I wanted to know (dps), I can't help but wonder if I can trust the dps calculation to be any more accurate than the shield resist calculation.

Edit: It's not using my skills at all, even though I have used the character editor to import my API key. The skill levels are correct in the "Character Editor", but there is no entry to apply my character in the fitting window (only "without skills" and "all level V"), and the Ship Resources and Ship Parameters are all completely wrong.

Verified minor Bug in v2.5.2:

Skill requirement for all T2 medium projectiles says Gunnery IV while it is III in reality. Other T2 medium turrets are not affected and correctly list the requirement at III (lasers, hybrids).

Firstly, I'd like to say thanks for this program, and that I much appreciate you taking the time to make it available for us. Nonetheless, like any good Eve forum thread, now is the time to whine, because I've got some feature requests:

1) Would it be possible to make it so that weapons can be dragged into "Projected Effects", to let us look at tank data and survival time? It'd be easier, in many ways, than using damage profiles, and it'd be a good way of evaluating a PvP duel or some such. And if you can code in things like range, ship speed, and sig radii, that would be awesome. I know, it's a bit beyond the parameters of what this program is intended to do, but it'd be cool.

2) If you can find a good list of what the NPC ships do, include them for testing purposes. I'd like to see what odds Guristas have of jamming me, or how much cap the Blood will steal, and be able to include it in EFT simulations instead of having to calculate it myself.

3) A capacitor simulator like QuickFit used to have. The numbers now are okay, but I'd rather have exact info if at all possible, rather than the approximate info we have now. Too often I've looked at a mission ship that's theoretically cap-stable by like half a point and wondered if it'd actually hold in reality.

4) Freighters. I know, they can't be fit, but I want to see effective HP and align times.

Ehm no .. resistance is always calculated from the remaining percentage that is not resisted yet.

If you have a base resist of 60% and 2 hardener, each 50% it would be :

base 60% + 50% of the remaining 40% from the base net to 60+20% = 80%

the second hardener would add 50% of the remaining 20% to a total of 90%

that is to illustrate the way it works, though the numbers are wrong .. every hardener after the first one is stacking penalties and won't add his full effect.
