I like to thank our enemies for bringing on the fight.
As was said previously by my ally mate we started small indeed. It was about 20 or so in S-EVIQ, but boy, did we grew!!!
I like to thank all our friends that keep coming and support us, you know you can count on us as well.

Lots of pew pew going off. Everywhere. And Im going away :'(

True..possibly.

If true, what will rise will be significantly different than what existed before MC came in and shook things up a bit (to put it mildly). There will be no return to the old paradigm.

Like always, outside observers can't undrestand anything..

That Aftermath guy says that the new Northerners wtfpwned the old ones and according to RAZOR's KB the old Northerners absolutely omgbbqed the new ones.

RAZOR's KB speaks of epic engagement:

217 (12 carriers) vs 105 (0 capitals), 32 Battleships killed, 0 lost and so on...

Please, someone try to explain (if you can be bothered of course) Rolling Eyes

Given the number of alliances involved, it is almost impossible to gain correct k/d.

The only thing that will matter at the end of the day is who controls the system.

Quite true. Sov is what it's about, at this point.

I am confident that we have given better than we have taken, but it is difficult to quantify given the number of entities involved on either side. My corp, for instance, is enjoying roughly 95% efficiency since this campaign began last Friday.

BTW...when someone was listing the combatants, it was kind of surprising they forgot a major player from each side (Morsus Mihi and YouWhat). I think the one ray of sunshine this weekend (at least in my view) for the current Tenal owners was the arrival of a sizeable YouWhat force including several capitals. Naturally, we were pretty glad to see them show up, as well. Lots of pew-pew ensued...visiting capitals died, etc. Very Happy

Great fun so far.

Though my highlight for today was warping to a hostile gate in a covert, seeing i was decloaked i hit my cloak, assumed it had worked. Land, realise im still uncloacked, hit cloak again get: "Please wait for this module to activate" and the rest you can work out!

Still all fun and games! Very Happy

edit: spelling is not for me

same for me yesterday. had to warp out cause i was decloaked and targeted, came back in cloaked but through the slideshow of reload somewhere noticed i was decloaked again. everything was 'wait for mod to activate' could just sit and watch as i was targeted and destroyed. sat there for 3 mins with flames shootin out my ass... i just enjoyed the show from there Smile 15 hours of solid play, several full on fleet fights, what can a neub say ... total blastaroony. thanks all sides for bringen it.

And that, gentlemen, is the story of How the North Was Taken Back in a Weekend.

Fairly entertaining write-up, but I think your last sentence overstates things, however. This isn't over. These are just the first shots on the first weekend.

If you're just joking, fine...but if you're serious, I'd caution you to reappraise the situation.

Good fights all weekend, with the tide constantly turning against T1TS. The odds were 3-1 in favor of T1TS side on Sunday, yet our side still prevailed. Each encounter saw the number in local drop (max was 320 I think), and it took 6 hours for the odds to be even. A few more days of this might see the S-E and OE- stations returned to their rightful owners.

Disabling the POS guns and Station Services has certainly changed the way that POS warfare is conducted. There is certainly things to do with all ship types now, as opposed to the old way where Capitals only were at POS's. Everyone else used to just sit on a gate and be bored. Now they can play too.

I'm a bit concerned that POS's were nerfed too much by the recent activities. The entire S-E system does not have an active POS gun in it - just loads of Incapacitated ones. No one even was trying to repair them. This may be due to the low skill levels for Remote Hull Repair, or just a consequence of 300 hostiles in system. I'll reserve my judgement for a bit when people have proper skills and gear.

Due to my Short-Range BS setup (Rule Pilots came to disable Station Services in OE- and stayed and fought all day Sunday) I did not get to shoot much. Most of my time was spent watching ships out of range and doing Invites.

The most fun I had was orbiting a POS and doing a barrel-roll in my Hyperion as I passed the Joost.com cameraman. Very Happy

That is not true. Saturday evening (euro time) the Northern Alliance had roughly 140 vs yours 100 or so. On Sunday we were greatly outnumbered atleast the 3 times i logged in S-E. At no time this weekend have i seen us outnumber you 3-1.

But congrats to Razor, MM, Roadkill and friends for taking over S-E, but the fights are not over by a long shot Twisted Evil

Suffice it to say that both sides have had fluctuating combat pilot levels and both sides have continued to fight as best they could under these circumstances.

I don't see a lot of point in quibbling about who had more pilots and when. If everyone is having fun, despite the lag, then we are getting out money's worth.

Sovereignity is the scoreboard in this fight for Tenal and the game simply isn't over yet.

No smack intended but I'm going to be very interested to see how the map is redrawn now the MC is out of the picture.

This was a great fight (which I sadly missed a decent chunk of) and I think all participents plan on having many more of them.

Still this little dust up is a really nice counter point to the "Razor is dead posts" I saw a while back and the "now that resistence in the north is at an end..." type of crap I've had to read recently. Even though the focus of the war may have shifted southward I think interesting times are still ahead for us in the north.

I'm having to agree about the comment regarding the POS changes - now that you can disable defensive guns, the big gun battleship fleet once again resumes a regal position on the field. It has the side effect of speeding up the siege process as you can get the support working on POS X while the dreads are doing POS Z. There is a more important side-effect, however; now that guns are, as a rule, virtually knocked out throughout the entire system if the fighting carries on for a few days...well, it means that you can leap into the middle of fleets quite fearlessly regardless of location, and dozens of battleships loaded with close-range ammo can still tear sizeable chunks out of any capital ship. Wherever the enemy goes, you can too - and without fear of getting your fleet mauled to hell by large artillery batteries.

It certainly makes things more fun and fluid, but at the same time it relegates POSes to action hotspots; they're not even the local defense strongpoints that they were before. It's good for whoever has space superiority in the system and bad for whomever doesn't, regardless of which side is attacking or defending.

well, congrats on the victory guys. wish i could say it was fun, but for me it wasnt really, too laggy, and outnumbered 5-1. im not trying to smack or whine, but at last count we had 11 alliances against us, possible 4-5. you guys consistantly had huge gangs in and around s-e, making it all but impossible. however, we gave what we could.

i do urge you however, rethink your huge gangs... it just amounts to a whole lot of nothing going on, and the only way to counter it is to bring in a 200+ gang of our own which im sure you wouldnt want.

but well done regardless.

You do realise that we were outnumbered about 150-200:100 yesterday night (after 9-10pm gametime) when you put one of our POS into reinforced, right? I don't think we're really the only ones bringing blobs and many different alliances here...

Battle report:

If you are the defender you win! Jumping your fleets into the defensive force is suicide with the server acting as it is. Hopefully this gets sorted so we can have some fun. I know I jumped into S-E and grid still hadn't loaded when my inbox flashed. Somehow managed to get my pod out, probably because the lag invovled precludes getting a lock on almost anything. It would have been a sweet battle had the node been up to it. And to think-I was going to bring my carrier in LOL Rolling Eyes
