My only not so valid whine is, I wish you guys would have risked my ship more.
I can come blow you up if you like. Also, for the umpteenth time, MC can not take BoB on by ourselves. I don't think anyone who pays attention has delusions to the contrary. What we could have potentially been is what we were for the Alliance forces up north, the galvanizing force that made the plans and called the shots, of course, from what I hear, that wouldn't have worked out so well, anyway. |

I first took MCMS Immortalis (Aeon Class Mothership) out on the 2-2-07, having obviously never flown any ship with such majesty and strength as the Aeon, I was quite terrified when Sel gave the order to jump in. I had no idea what we were jumping into and I pretty much crapped myself when the MM capitals jumped in. Those MM pilots had 'some'.
Some more time passed and for well over a month the Aeon was out of the lime light. Then as we approached the end of March and as MC stepped up its campaign into P-2TTL. Two very good corp mates of mine Otto Bismarck and Arkezxa went out to find targets of opportunity. I told them that if they fitted a cyno generator if they got into any ‘trouble’ I could jump in and help. They found a Myrmidon who left C4C-Z4. While they hunted from him in a surrounding system the Myrmidon pilot organized a gate camp for them to jump back into. Little did they know my corp mates had me as backup. The following minutes were at little bit one sided as the support scattered and the few that stayed behind were destroyed.
Just after the cyno field went down and we were discussing leaving and trying to organize a return cyno for me back to P-2 the residents of C4C re-engaged us and once again those that were caught at the gate were destroyed. Still being relatively new at this and not wanting to get the Aeon killed we played it very defensively and as soon as my capacitor was starting to get low and with the numbers at the gate not diminishing but rather increasing with amount and the size of the ships we decided to call it a day for the time being. Seleene opened a convo with me on MSN and asked me what was happening. We told him the situation and then continued to monitor the situation. With my Aeon still cloaked within C4C, we noticed that bubbles were being anchored at the gates and the use of interdictors. Sel with his balls to the wall attitude wanted another fight and unfortunately Erilynn was lost in the jump in of Seleene’s Nyx. The fighting continued at the gate until the field had been won again.
If you go to the Mercenary Coalition kill board and search for me you can see a lot of the fights that I was involved in. I think I can be fairly safe in saying that the people who I flew with all thought I was insane and the people I flew against probably thought I was evil griefing bastard. My good friend Sivona once said to me “There are 44 people outside the station here.” I replied “Oh come on only 44, those odds aren’t even fair.”
I’d like to thank all the people who flew side by side with and against my Aeon. I know it was definitely a pleasure to fight beside and against you. More than once you guys had me quite worried. This 4 months that I spent in that ship were some of the best that I have had in EVE ever and I hope that those who I interacted with enjoyed themselves as well. Unfortunately RL circumstances made it difficult to see out the end of the war and I would have loved to jump into BKG with the other MC Motherships.
Seleene you are a visionary of EVE. I look up to you whenever I need a hand or the chips are down and your there for us. 2 years ago if you has said to me you’d be flying a Mothership and our alliance with friends would be taking down D2 by force I’d have called you a dreamer.
You’re a legend. Don’t ever quit mate.

2. What would you say was the deciding fight in your northen campaign?
1. The work of our graphics artists are probably the most highly guarded secrets in MC. You will know when the banners are released, not before. 2. There are five key battles in MY mind. But the one after which we KNEW it was there for the winning occured at 17:30 on the 7th April. D2's C4C-Z4 Planet V, Moon 2 POS was coming out of reinforced, the second of three over two hours in that system, with two more inf FIO1 in the same period. The North had four motherships and one titan to our three motherships - we had a slight advantage in other capitals, but they were carrier heavy to our dreads, also their BS and support fleets outnumbered us. The North's two Aeons, two Nyx and seventeen carriers had successfully repaired the first POS of the day at 16:10. MC's primary objective that day was to bring the North's capital fleet to battle and destroy them in detail. Our support had fought their way into the system ravaging the enemy battleships at the L-C gate. But there were still over a 100 enemy support in system with 11 northern dreadnaughts spotted, and who knew if any were in reserve. It was one of those moments ... the result was not certain, but we either attacked NOW, or conceded the day. Seleene's consultation on the command channel was very brief, then a few more seconds to agree a force disposition and ranges. We were warping onto a grid with the carriers and moms all outside the shield repping it. They could have launched 250 fighters while we were in warp. We were expecting to lose capital ships just getting set up through the load lag. Yet they didn't engage. We entered siege, bringing our battleships in behind the dreads with ouf carriers supporting them. The scene was set for untrammelled carnage - and one by one the pride of the north's industrial might jumped out. From that moment our planners' objective was no longer to bring the North's fleet to an engagement and destroy it - it was to wipe them from the sovereignty maps of EVE. We were later to discover they had TEN motherships and two titans at the start of our campaign, to our three motherships and a vague suggestion that we could borrow one occasionally for logistics. Its not about the supercaps .. its about the will to risk them. Myn |

i cant remember how many POS ive shoot on or even how may cap-engagements i had...but it was always risky, pure adrenalin and even i lost several cap-ships it was absolutly FUN what we have accomplished is more then ive ever expect and compensate all the losses |

To the E-O population: Do not let their consistent denials discourage you! Do not let common sense or lack of tangible proof get in your way! Do not let them call you a gullible just because you treat favorable rumors like undisputable thruths! You know what you believe is the truth and don’t take no for an answer! MC cannot succeed where so many have failed! MC must be lying and cheating because you know nobody is that much better than you! MC must bow to somebody! You know you are right, don’t give up posting!
But to a more important matter. What is up with the Sarah banners The Hugh was not only a banner pic, it represented something beautiful about the MC. The winning smile, impeccable class and complete arrogance. Not the everyday arrogance or even the plain american “we are the biggest” arrogance but refined british colonial inbreed aristocracy arrogance.
But what does Sarah represent? MC, we are pretty? Or is it suppose to refer to Buffy the vampire slayer? MC, we have teenage problems too! Or we kill monsters on our spare time? But it makes no sense since I’ve seen the pictures and let’s face it the scary monster that ate the slayer is the MC. So yet again why do you have Sarah on you banners?
Awesome report sel, looks like you guys are having a kickass time. you make me wish I could pause RL and just play!

What i wonder the most is this. How MC are going to keep thier mercenary style now that hold space in the North. Should they start having politics and Nap/Hostile/Ally neighbours automaticaly they cannot be assigned to attack everyone and they loose neutrality (supposing they still have some).
And how thier combat abilities will be reduced since other alliances might pay a visit to MCs land while MC are on a contract venture.
Has the time came where MC should announce the end of thier mercenary career? |

Think thats the understatement of the year. Thanks for the report, Seleene. Btw since this contract was an epic one - do/did any isk go to each member or did all go into a pool for each corp - to continue and support the cap program? Will we see MC Titans as well? |

Our current ingame logo is still the four aces w/ BDCI, CONIN, FRICK, and ETNY, which I believe was put in a few patches ago. A new logo will be put in with an upcoming patch, I would assume.
On topic, this contract was an epic exercise in combat, logistics, patience, and preservation of sanity for me. It really took EVE to a whole new level that I'd never thought I'd be able to take a part of. I would personally like to thank all the MC and allied pilots that I had the fortune of flying alongside in this campaign. Everyone was a pleasure to work with at any time, either under my lead or with me just tagging along. MC couldn't have done what we accomplished in the manner in which we accomplished it nor at the speed at which it happened without the support of the other alliances present in the North.
To Mr. Fury, I honestly wouldn't get too hung up on the fact that Seleene posted just MC's stats. The intention is only to show what our killboard shows, for the sake of information. We're well aware of the fact that the stats are not indicative of what MC did as a solo entity, and I for one am rather curious as to what the alliance-wide stats have been these past few months, I'm just too lazy to actually compile it. The fact is, however, that in the end it wasn't the killboard stats that defined how we ended up in our current position, it was the battles won, the POS's destroyed, the stations taken, and the regions conquered. Whether it happened with 90%, 80%, or 60% efficiency really doesn't matter when you look at it in a big-picture sense.
Overall, this contract really showed to me what "MC Unleashed" really is capable of. It's one thing to have a group of highly skilled pvp'ers that can win individual battles, it's another to have an entity that can take the reins of an entire operation and lead a group of alliances effectively into region-wide conflict. I for one look forward to what our next contracts hold in store for us.

I understood it more as a reference to buffy. Buffy was introduced, when MC's home got under fire in the beginning of this BIG war afaik and MCs position seemed to be in danger for the first time. Was it after RAT declared war on MC ? Then Hugh had to disappear, because he was just to nice, and some bad ass Buffy was needed. Everyone knows, she kicks ass and always wins against the evil threatening forces. And well, she doesn't look bad, so I'm fine with her, like with the outbreak and hobo sigs or they guys, who have Jessica Albar there. Maybe Hugh is allowed to have a comeback soon, after Buffy has done her job in the North. |

CCP updates the logos with every major patch(not sure if with smaller ones too). So, my take would be that the logo got supplied to CCP right in time to make it to revelations 2. and back to topic... That story was really nice read and was nicely put together with pics and stuff. |
