Are certain alliances *cough* IAC/KOS *cough* allowing huge macro-farming corps into their alliance on purpose?

Identify these corps, their members, the activities that identify them as macroers (they're in every major alliance, by the way, macro-ratting/mining in off-the-beaten path systems at the core systems) and let the players decide if they're true macro corps, or just a few abusive users.

If you identify any non-alliance corporations that are actively macro'ing, identify them on one of the many macro hunter channels and watch the scrapmetal fly.

Don't bother to petition, CCP actively protects their macro-user population preferentially.

Pretty much.

I hear they are launching a new program though to help disguise these characters though. It's called, "How to name your character without bashing your head on the keyboard"

The guy on the left has logged in every 5minutes, (dead end system) stayed logged in for approximately 30 seconds and logged back off.

(i assume waiting till i leave)

Some of the "weaker" parties on both sides of the current war have been engaging in this practice. Basically they start a corp, put a 10% or whatever tax on it and tell the local marco's to join or die. I hear that the output can be around 20-30bil a week for the sponsoring alliance.

Should CCP crack down on this? Hell yeah. Unfortunately CCP is incapable of regulating major alliances.

Quite a few isk farming corps around these days alot join corps to try and disguise the fact.

Some offer isk to the local 0.0 owners for protection and to npc in peace, alot now actually join 0.0 alliances to gain access to 0.0. One assumes they give someone a back hander to get in as can't see any other reason anyone would let someone in that is going to do jack for their alliance.

Regarding the corp in question the many I have seen around empire have been in and out of buesrew/beatlrice quite abit I can only assume due to them having war decs on them.

And you consider these toons macros how????

Macrominers would take 20 years to get a sec rating that high.
Log on log off while you are around?? umm hello any player does that.
Macros move on if harassed.

Sorry but you show no evidence of a macro. Maybe a player in control of several toons at once but 1000's do that. I run 4 tons at once with no macros.

Via taxes or other means the macro/farmers provide a HUGE influx of cash and/or mins to the controlling Alliance. Even die hard miners in Alliances are not machines that will mine 23/7 but farmers do. While bogus from a strictly economic sense it makes a great deal of reason to have them as an ISK faucet for your corp/alliance.

large alliances suck.. YARRRR!!

if there are large amounts of macros shouldnt their high membercount kinda figgure that out and.. like report it?
i doubt all members would ignore sutch things.. or maybe im wrong about that and macros either are extremely accepted..

but i think the biggest problem lies with the GMs.. since reported macros never go away.. Neutral

but macros will be getting trouble once static belts are gone etc, anyways ill keep with my large alliances suck.. Twisted Evil

True that is assuming they reprocess their loot in the alliance controlled stations, does ruin the alliances killboard though Razz

I have seen more and more isk farmers in 0.0 and its starting to get out of hand I was offered only the other day isk to leave one guy alone in peace.

They must provide something substantial to the controlling Alliance else I doubt they'd be left alone to do their thing.

1. They are not macro miners... they are macro ratters
2. Macros move on when harrased. We harrased them good they all left within a day
3. I've had prior dealing with beatlrice and although I'm not saying they are macroers, they are EXTREMELY fishy....

Just doing our part to support chinese sweatshops ! Very Happy

I've not seen any hints of them using macros, and since they've now moved all operations out of -A-/IAC space I find it FAR FAR too amusing to boot them out.

Your corp too can join IAC for only 1 billion a week ! ugh

Stupid alt, I was going to biomass him the other day but decided against it.

I've come to think of alts as their own lifeforms and greet them separatly from the "mains" in corp chat.

They're not macroers. Macroers cant rat in 00 space.

Theyre sweatshop workers and what theyre doing is perfectly legal. Not that i endorse it though.
