Your doing really well. I've been on since July 2003 (off in 2004) and have barely mastered the game. There is so much I haven't done yet, like that solo kill i'm still waiting for and that billion i've never reached.

However I'd suggest power, money and influence. If you've done all the small things, try out the super rich game. Make yourself super rich and start getting political influence and controling the game.
How about an alliance?

Define super rich?

maybe its a stupid suggetion, but what about making a "polise corp" ?!
a low sec corp that are recruiting players that wanna protect others, keeping a place clean from pirates, maybe even a corp owning some 0.0 systems and letting people come and go as they please, just protecting those weak against those "strong" that would normally not allow them the chance of day.

could be new.. as i know there is NO corp out there actually trying to keep it fair and free for people to injoy low and 0.0 ...

could be a new idea, maybe if it went really good it could be big.. your own little concord in lowsec and 0.0 :)

anyway i would consider joining something like that. but again i am almost a infent compared to you, and maybe i just don't know better:)

Wow, lots of comments. I'll try and respond to a few.

Cash beggars:
I'm not giving YOU money. Stop asking.

Acushla:
You know. That's a good idea. I had a couple of ideas for silly events, but never did anything with them. Perhaps I should change that.

Maglorre:
Its not the building of it, its the holding of it. I don't intend to put my money into something that expensive and just give it away in the end.

Arenis Xemdal;
Iiinteresting...
Who might I speak to about that?

StarRanger:
Thanks. I've rarely played more than 4 hours at a time. That's probably why I've lasted this long.

Magnum III:
WIS doesn't so much appeal to me unless I can get true pimp clothes. Otherwise I don't see the point. I want atmospheric flight.

Viscount Hood:
Not yet made a bill? Wow, and I figured I was one of the least wealthy older players... Don't worry, you'll get there.

CrestoftheStars:
There have been a number of "police" style corps over time, even police-style alliances. All of them failed and here's why. They burned through money and resources trying to protect lucrative assets for the benefit of people other than themselves. In the end the people they were protecting either left or joined forces with their enemies and helped bring about their downfall. Eve space is a harsh place. The best way to be protected is join with the strong, not ask them for favors.

You haven't done Macrohunting.

In-game channel "macrointel", killboard http://macrointel.eve-kb.org

(Yes, that is a farmer freighter Voogru just killed, he's not bored after nearly 4 years.)

So, new objectives for you:

Beat that 4 bn ISK farmer-kill.
Kill it with something rarer or smaller than a faction ship.
Do it in Empire.

Have I won the thread now?

I've done it all you did except some capitals and the t2 lottery win . But in 1+1/2 years i always killed my borederoom whit friends and videos ; struggle and pvp are your friends in EVE .

Every day obliderating fleets and laying siege , making bilions as a corp i never get tierd of it .

Having friends that you'd trust whit your RL life is just great , pvp whit veterans is grat , training newbs and see them become killing machines or turn against you Crying or Very sad.

EVE is a never ending game and there's always something to do Surprised

I've been with it for about 2 years now.
Im going to try and stick with it, but in about 1 years time eve wont be much anymore.
BoB will have most of 0.0 conquered by mid to late 2008, so eve wont be much but most of players living in empire... well the players that are left. And I see CCP closing the doors on eve by 2009 when bob conquers empire(Factional Warfare).

TBH if BoB conquers all 0.0 CCP will just send the jove against them and obliderate them Shocked and us Shocked

0.0 will never be hold by 1 force. Besides our foes gather in NPC regions where they get funded by pirate agents (best regual source of income) and officer spawns (huge is loads). Every now and thensome players blast theyr way out of low sex into 0.0 and become a force.

And planetary interaction is gonna bring even more spcae to fight over. Rev 2.0 will make it insanely hard to conquer enemy space. No more teritorial blitz.

Open your eyes and your mind dude. EVE will not end soon maybe in 5-6 years or more but in 1-2 years i still see EVE going strong. Every time computers become more powerfull lag drops and the EVE comunity grows , the lag comes then the server grows. Asses come and go legends are born and ended etc. to quote CCP : EVE Never Fades

Well nice to see another old timer.:)

Im here nearly from start to ( with breaks).

For me Eve has still a lot to offer.
Its all for me about pvp and 0.0 .

I was a long time very commited to allainces /corps i was in so i made very little isk with constant fighting.I paused abit now and making isk, buying some capitals and new toys at end, making new plans to use them.

Also ones of my many private aims are :
a) Be part/help build a 0.0 alliance that is not bully spirited or pirating, at same time being formidable warriors and strong.(unbelievable but i never saw one such in Eve, Norad at end of its life was close , but merigng with FA in Rise ended it...

b) Help fight of Bob hegemony in the tiny part i can.

+ the everyday fun of pvp.

Well,i'm pretty much in the same boat as you and there's only one or 2 major things left for me to achieve.....First would be a mothership, wich the skills are fully maxed out to use it to it's full potential, and i also recently bought my very own titan skill book, for an even greater long term challenge.

Yeah, that's quite true. If I had ISK to throw away though I'd probably do it anyway just so I could say "I built an outpost". Maybe in a couple of years time, who knows?

Ecchus, I am an old player (and character) aswell. I have been on a vacation from EVE but now that I am back things shine in a different light.

If you havent joined a Volonteer program branch I would suggest you take the time to join for instance the Aurora team and run some events with the nice people there.

Born on 2003/05/14. 43 million skill points and counting.

I've been here since Beta 4 and played almost continuously. I've been in the same corporation since the beginning and watched it rise and fall. I've mined and hunted. I've run missions for weeks on end. I've got my faction battleships.

I've won the T2 lottery and made a few billion.

I've been all over the galaxy. I have friends and enemies. I have brought newbies into the game and given them starting cash. I've been ripped off and paid back. I have a hit list and a friend list. I've joined alliances and left them. I've role-played and given up on it.

I have alts as old as I am. I have a second account with an alt at 42.7 million skill points, that one turns 4 years old this summer.

I've petitioned and bug-reported. I've uploaded crashlogs and screenshots and movies. I've been hunted and killed. I've been gatecamped and killed. I've been hunted and ransomed. I've been chased by powerful forces through a dozen systems and escaped with my hull intact. I've escaped from m0o, Burn Eden, Evolution, M3G4, and Shinra among others. I've jumped through gatecamps in a pod and lived to tell about it. I've operated in areas under alliance warfare and made money from both sides. My implants have been in my head for more than two years.

I've joined with event staff to kill invaders. I've joined in player events. I've gambled and won, gambled and lost. I've created can art and removed it. I've bought and sold and invested. I've been broke and rich. I've owned the best of the best and worst of the basic.

I've killed myself with stupid mistakes.

I own ships that left the manufacturing plant more than 3 years ago. I own ships that are fitted with modules just as old. I can fly most ship types. I've built most ship types.

I've set goals and reached them.

I've set goals and failed.

But lately I'm getting bored. Lately all I'm doing is watching my wallet slowly count up and tweaking buy/sell orders. I haven't fired a shot in a couple of months. So I'm wondering what the other old players do to keep this game fresh.

Thanks for the suggestions folks, and the quotes.

But:

PVP: For me that means getting back into roleplay/alliances which means getting back into a lot of big corp/alliance drama which was the reason I left those things behind in the first place. To me there's no point to warfare except as a means of gaining/protecting territory.

Piracy/corp theft: Nope, got a reputation to protect and I'm a bastard, but not THAT much of a bastard.

Agony Unleashed was founded by a guy who had been playing since Beta, and was tired of alliance politics. We fight for our entertainment, and we have a great time.

Find friends, kill people. Drop me a line if your interested. All we do is pvp.

1) Log in eve
2) say sup ***s in corp chat or joint ops
3) say is gang out
4) if yes go join them
5) if no a) Go out hunting and wait for people to coem along b) go play something else
6) have fun, its a game and it should work for you not the other way around

No drama, no alliances, just small scale pvp (sure there are ganks but you dont say no ;))

In all seriousness, here, I have a few suggestions.

1.) I think owning your own outpost would be pretty cool. But difficult to protect, you're right. You could fund it entirely yourself, through ISS, and just join ISS's alliance for the sovereignty purposes. I'm sure there are details to work out, but your corp could own the outpost, set public access, taxes, and docking fees, and reap the benefits (split with ISS, of course, in exchange for protection).

2.) ...If you really know as much about this game as I think you do, and have really done it all.... - why not apply to be a GM? Enslaver got hired because he was an asset to CCP - he'd been playing as long as you had, and he'd also done pretty much everything there was in game. I'm sure it saves CCP money and training time when they hire someone who already knows intimately how the game works. And it would give you access to an entirely new area of the game, keeping you occupied, and paying you as well.

~Xiao
