i got the new patch but when i start eve it shows that picture and then just does nothing, the comp aint frozen it just doent continue to the loggin screen. any help??

That's my advice...update your video drivers.

I had the same problem...worked for me.

If you want to update the video drivers, go to the manufacturer or chipset company and download

However, I think NOT logging in is possibly a benefit :)

Actually,

On one machine, I have that problem too. I get the EVE splash screen, and then the machine locks. Luckily it is Win2K so I can out it with the three fingered salute.

I'll try finding the new drivers, but I think it is something more serious.

For the record, my NVIDIA machine is having trouble, but my RADEON is not.

I had the opening screen but nothing else, so i have since updated nvidia drivers from their site, along with the new DirectX from #ahem# microsoft.....

I can now log in (server online ofcourse)
