I'd just like to offer up a fond farewell to the asteroid belts in Rens. As of Tuesday, they will be depleted, never to return. I remember fondly spending whole days in the belts, mining in a Hoarder and being able to watch whole movies before needing to dock. Listening to some of the locals complaining and vowing vengence upon our mayor, Menod Penter, as he collected their taxes in the form of jet-canned ore, and listening to the other locals laugh at these people because, honestly, they should have known better. To me, Rens is more than a trade hub, it's home. And it will never be the same again. P.S. This isn't a bring back the belts whine. I totally understand why CCP is doing this and agree fully with it. Still, it makes me sad. |

Any nerf to ninja mining gets a big thumbs up from me. But it's sad to hear that an ore thief has to look somewhere else to grief players :) |

hey hey
Rens was my home for much of my early career then the gate/agent nerf came . . numbers dwindled and the good people left and moved on to other homes and things
The n00bs settled in and it slowly grew again Homless people from yulai chose Jita or came and settled in Rens. Empire Wars still find considerable targets in Rens and Trade continued to thrive even though slowly, but the market is very stable.
Hek in Metro has slowly evolved into a small trade hub and is met's growing Capital. With COSMOS next door and some funny empire wars to boot.
Now Rens gets wtfNerfBattedofDoomED again and its small(ish) but thriving community shall be no more :/
Where next . .
/signed and fond farewell to Rens, its citizens and Mayor.

zeepo wins. He and another who shall remain nameless were stealing ore together and at the end zeepo asked for it all as he had maxed refining skills. Classic. |

I dont see why Rens would stop beaing a trade hub, just because they removed the belts ? I undestand that some ppl would fit a hauler and then afk mine till they were full, but that has got little to do with trade.. Unless i underestimate how mutch trit was really beaing pulled in and made into ships / moduels. But i would think that alot of that stuff was hauled into the system to be sold there anyway.
