I left Eve sometime during Cold War (I think), I've been itching to get back into it for the past few months so I decided to reactivate my account today. I'd appreciate any info about changes in the game (I'm planning on reading the patchnotes so don't bore me with technical/game mechanic stuff). I'm really interested in the economic state of the game; I left with about a billion ISK, I'm hoping that its still worth something. Also feel free to enlighten me as to the recent political goings on. Yes I realize I could spend a couple hours plowing through the forums, but I'm just not interested in doing that.

Bad news. You came back at a low point in EvE. Lots of folks are kinda upset about the kali patch.  |

This is not a low point in EVE. It's typical post-patch bull**** on the part of forumers, and anyone who's been around here for any length of time would recognize that. |

There has been a lot of inflation in the game. When you left I guess we already had capital ships and now they are quite common, 1 bill is half ways to buying / outfitting one.
They allow people to buy sell GTC's to each other with isk now and that has changed things a lot. If someone wants isk they just buy a few GTCs (game time codes that give the person that uses them a certain number of days of gameplay) and then sell them to someone who is very good at earning isk.

Ok Winterblink. I fell so much better. Oh wait you didn't fix the problem where I can't jump through systems without crashing. Yea I can't play for something I am paying for. Bottom line, folks are upset that everything new is broken and we are gonna have to a wait until its fixed. Again this is a low point for EvE. |

You're under the mistaken impression they don't know what's going on, and are working on fixes to problems. Take a look at the known issues page sometime. Again... typical post-patch bull****. |

Are you on a dual core machine? Have you tried setting Affinity or disabling one of the cores till CCP fixes the issue? The crash on jump thing is something that's only affecting some players, not everyone. Also any type of bug that like will quickly be fixed. It's hardly a low point in EVE.  |

totally QFT winter, a lot of changes have happened a ton of new ships and stuff and sooooo much more content that you can now actually get mission runners when they think they are safe, personally as a ex pirate i see this as a good thing, and before someone whinges at me i have run a mission and had someone jump in on me i was paying attention however. |

No I am on a single core AMD. And guys they don't know. Why becuase this happened on the Test server. Then when they deployed Kali. Then I sent a petition. then they did some sorta fix becuase it went away. I was very Happy! Then They did new patch on 5 Dec, Then It came back! Its killing me! i can't PvP PVE move out of any systems. It took me about an hour and a half to go three jumps. Oh and when I am trying log back in I have to wait in Que. Thats why I am saying this is a low point. I can't play Eve guys. I can't play. Am I wrong to be upset? |

That’s why I said it’s a low point. I did not once say anything bad about EvE or call Devs names. There is a part of EvE that is broken and I have every right to say it’s a low point. And if anybody confuses me with the ****ing whiners regarding new changes is a Jerk. Personally I like all the new things but its gonna take some time to work things out just like everything else that’s new. The point I am trying get across is that when you can’t play a game you are paying for is flat out wrong. If this is not a low spot well what hell is ? |
