Yes, it looks nice and will be collecting dust on my hangar.

Why? I just got "owned" in sisi by character with 6mil SP and no gallente specialization. He was using T1 items while I was using full T2 fit.

I got Mega Pulse II's with Conflage crystals along side with 3 WASP's. I had 4 CAP II's, 3 HS II's, 3 EAN II's and one LAR II.

Thank you CCP. I love this ship. Why did I die? Ran out of cap. Sure, having cap injector would have been option but.. meh.

On the otherhand, having 500k in missile skills and no shield skills, I owned people in Drake. How fun! Rolling Eyes

Just curious... With the HP bonus (much longer combat) has ANYONE managed to fit enough cap boosters to last through a battleship engagement? At the very start of public sisi testing, there was a post that said with injector and not repping the Abaddon emptied cap under 2-3 minutes, with injections left (the injectors weren't cycling fast enough to keep the guns on either!).

It kinda seems farfetched but I won't rule it out since I haven't tried it on sisi myself.

lmao an amarr bs without a cap injector is bad. an amarr bs with known cap problems without an injector is just stupid.

cap rechargers for pvp? lol

I fought a hyperion in an abaddon with 4 mega pulse II's and 4 heavy diminishing nos and won. work it out.

think first, then complain.

also find a new problem, then complain

So... if you use nos you win?
that means the nos is good, not the abaddon.
let me gues, the other guy did not have nos right? and his guns use laser class amounts of cap... go figure...

lol you're proving his point
and although i agree a no cap injector is stupid
the fact that you fit 4 heavy diminishing in order to win is just ******ed
wonder who would of won if he had 5 heavy diminishing
my bet would be on him

put the HP back to where it was, and fix the abaddon

Guess what: The other ships don't have to fit cap rigs to even function, they just fit damage and tank rigs, and hey, then they out-perform the abaddon even more!

btw the ROF is now a DMG bonus, so its a little easier on the cap

^^ True.

And the RoF to Standard Dmg bonus isnt such a bad change, but it sadly means less damage too.

Wait... you active tanked a passive tanking monster that uses a crapload of cap and didn't fit an injector to compensate? Deserved to loose tbh.

Passive tank it with an injector, I think Rehen said he gets 76-78% resists with 30-40k armour and like 900 DPS, whatever it was it gave my maxed out skills Hyperion a run for it's money, had to mwd away and warp off on the 1st fight untill I worked out how do deal with it Shocked, and then the rematch fight took 10 minutes and resulted in us both running out of cap charges. (which you can now pack more in)
He managed to get me into hull before i'd removed 25% of his armour, only held on because i killed his berserker 2's.

Maby Amarr players are alittle too used to 1. Turn on Sensor boosters. 2. F1-F8. 3. Collect loot. for their own good. Twisted Evil

Guess what: Now that rigs are going to be in game, you are going to see ships that are designed to make use of them... even depend on good Rig decisions to function at their optimal level.

And no, you don't just slap on more damage and tank rigs... often you end up gimping your set up due the the drawbacks imposed by the rig. It's a tad bit more complicated than that.

Ok my point was that it can be used to good effect if your not a total noob and don't use stupid setups. not saying the ship is good but not fitting a cap injector is just dumb.

But i guess you guys want to turn this into another whine whine the abaddon is crap thread after the last god knows how many then go ahead but i guarantee anything u whine about has already been said.

I'd also like to add that there is a reason it is called a TEST server. they are surprisingly testing things. ur clearly making a complaint that the drake is overpowered as well where as you will now see it's bonus's have been changed to make it weaker because the TEST told them it was overpowered. ffs give them a break and stop whining about ships that haven't even been confirmed yet

It will suck in fleet battles Crying or Very sad

On the other hand as a npc ship it could be kinda nice and there are a few setups that can make it usefull in small engagements.

If it's any consolation, the 25% damage bonus pretty much kills Minmatar's role in fleet combat - alpha strike. The Tempest has just under 7% more alpha strike than the Abaddon.

With skills the abaddon has 9562 cap on sisi right now. It can also carry 23 800 charges, thats 800x23=18400 cap right there. A heavy electrochem can substain 8 mega pulses with a few heat sinks just fine, which is all that really matters.

The only thing I see going against it will be the increased usage of tracking disruptors due to ecm nerf, t2 missile nerf and even more turret ships ingame.

I trounced a hyperion at close range 2km and under) with a megapulse abaddon. Running 1 rep continuously had me using all of my cap charges reasonable quickly though: with two injectors and a cap mod here and there with perfect skills.(controlled bursts 5, energy management 5, energy sys op 5) I was using conflag with 8 MPII though, so thats a lot of drain normally.

It's tough to fit, but i believe with rigs and the right setup it will be a beast.

What were they thinking when they made this ship? You give a ship both the best DPS potential and the best tanking potential, with cap being its achilles heel. If it doesn't have cap to kill stuff, it's broken. If it does have enough cap, it's overpowered. Good luck with the balancing.

I just made a really ****ed up discovery.

weird bonus

Gun from the left is from the abaddon, gun to the right from an apoc. BS is at level 4.

4,4 vs 5,5 damage mod. 5,5x.8=4,4.

Hope they fix it soon, or else I made a mistake training BS past level 3. Neutral
