Yeah, thanks for pointing this out. I do see an error in the way I implemented it - I wrapped the preview page in addition to the post page, so when quoting/previewing/etc you get slapped with the timeout. This won't fix the login/logout issue, that's separate. (And something I'm looking into, but don't have a fix for currently.) Anyway, I'll check the fix in for this particular quote timeout issue, we'll get it rolled to the forums during the next web site push. Usually takes a few days. Sorry about that. |

Isnt really smart since people with enoguh stamina can/may bruteforce your account.
Dont know how the account verifier is setup but you made it a whole of alot easier for them to login to your account. |

I have an alphanumeric password with multiple symbols. It would take longer than the life of the universe to bruteforce. Its not as if my account name wasn't obvious to begin with  |

not really since you can have you real name or anything else as your ingame name.
And sure you may the best password in the world but it stills reduces your security hell of alot.
And by the way if using your ingame name as your account namne you must surely be using it as your password aswell since that is obvius =)

I wonder how many times a certain forum poster has changed his password since posting the image? Yes, the change was instituted as a measure to stop the recent spate of forum spamming and phishing. As unfortunate as it sounds, there were still some users spoofed into hitting one of the sites, so other measures had to be taken. Unfortunate that, as Eldo stated, some forum miscreants can't artificially inflate their post counts, but hey, the good of the many.  |
