Sorry I had to post this just cause I think it's hilarious, sorry if I upset anyone by this but I just find it amusing. These are a series of chat logs between PURE and Sector 7 who have been fighting in Vale for some time now and see how things change once a NAP is granted from a bigger party.

The relationship begins

FlexRex[Sec7] Lijah[PURE]

[ 2006.07.08 07:09:30 ] FlexRex > hey man
[ 2006.07.08 07:11:11 ] Lijah > 'cos if you blue up with CDC you become red to us... :o(
[ 2006.07.08 07:11:20 ] FlexRex > yeah I know
[ 2006.07.08 07:11:21 ] Mandrain > o/

Are you sure you want these beerhall diplomatics to be shown to the world? To me this seems like the kind of leadership I'd run away from.

Yeah its interesting how bad people treat others in this game sometimes, even griefers who just play this game to **** others off, and they love doing it. Sure I myself have killed a few new pilots so I did my part of griefing. But once I got into 0.0 I'd thought I'd not see much of that anymore. My question is does good over come evil? Like when a whole alliance turns it's back on friends who helped them get to a certin level, fighting the bigger fish and fish gives in to them and grants them a THE NAP. I guess this happens all the time and I'm just new to it.

I guess that's why this game is great cause it plays on peoples fear.

If this was slashdot, this thread would be modded "Redundant". This discussion's been had before.

PURE took actions to look out for our interests, which is where our responsibility ultimately lies. It's regrettable that people we considered our friends were not able to be included in the final agreement with CDC, but such is the price of compromise. PURE's responsibility is to ensure our own wellbeing. Unfortunately, that sometimes requires sacrifices, such as our relationship with Sector 7.

Frankly, Sector 7 and PURE didn't work all that closely anyway to my knowledge, so to see Sector 7 come out now (again) and feign some horrible betrayal is misleading at best. If Sector 7 feels the need for vengeance, unfortunately that will put us in each others' crosshairs. Ultimately, if Sector 7 wants to take shots at PURE, it would probably be more effective to do so in game, rather than on the forums.

And as for this comment...well, if just makes me laugh.

If you'll recall, FOFF used to be in FIX as well. The difference is that we (the PURE corps) didn't switch sides in the middle of a war. So you might want to take a long look in the mirror before you start commenting on US.

Being very new to this game, it has amazed me how quickly alliegances rise and fall.

Im even more amazed at some of the very recent no-agro pacts that are happening, from past sworn enemies..(or so i have read)

A better title of thread should be Enemies yesterday, bandwagon buddies today lol WinkWink

you are right you didnt switch sides, you left foff and i think one other corp to defend fat for 2 weeks. ask the old stain guys, huzzah, and for the time they where there kaos. you abandon us and when we finally got our asses beat so bad we had no ships left we had to pull out. not like this is a rare thing that when you lose you get free pass by the attacker to pull out of the area, then fix guys hire a merc corp to attack us while we pull out of the area. very classy bunch of guys you are i must say.

The other corpS from those days in FAT were, of course, Obsidian Asylum (now in PURE) and Dobberman's crew who's corp name escapes me atm (they joined BoB en masse).

Say 'Hi' to Major Riven for me. We still have that 'yeeehaw' from TS somewhere...

The point is we're well placed to speak about those things if we need to.

(EDIT): Dobberman's corp was ETINC.

Zyph, your post is teh funneh. We fought CDC for a piece of Vale for over 2 months. We were open with our objectives with all entities, both friendly and hostile. Clearly you didn't like the result when we actually achieve our in-game goal.

I thought you said you were fighting for territory. So you beat up CDC to the point where they allowed you to join them...congratulations, CDC is about as tough as a gerbil in a wet paper bag.

But did you guys honestly have to accept the NAP with CDC and then burn all of your past political bridges, when it would have been far more beneficial to you to simply continue "fighting the good fight" with your original compatriots.

Now you've got a soiled reputation with virtually all of Vale of the Silent. Now your only friend in Vale is CDC...that's not something to be proud of.

This post shows exactly how little you know about this situation. We did not beat CDC in any way shape or form...in fact we lost an equal amount of ships to each other. The NAP was PURE common sense.

Anyway back to actually playing the game...this post is now closed to all members of Pure.
